Four decades later, Poles and Polish Canadians are fleeing Canada just like my family who once fled a totalitarian regime in Europe. housing is a big issue everywhere these days. i come from eastern Europe and my country was swallowed up by a chosen-people EU. in the past government was able to organize massive housing projects and provide affordable housing. now the "democratic" regime basically delegated this to private corproations. a big developer in my hometown is actually purchased by israeli capital groups from USA. new homes are absolutely unaffordable for local youth and situation is getting even worse with massive influx of ukrainian slaves. this whole democratic capitalist system is rotten from the core. its not as bad as usa/canada /uk etc because we never had massive migration from africa/india but it is moving in similar direction. many people are coming back from abroad (i migrated too, i would never be able to buy home if i stayed, fresh graduates students literally spend their whole salary on rent in small room + food. )
