I want this so bad, but I also want to be a neurologist. I think I would go mad if I didn’t do something of the sort, whether I become a doctor, professor, or author.

Traditional Family = National Growth Rest = will make chaos

As a American Mexican this has always been our culture. Traditional gender roles but i grew learning about fixing cars and my mom taught me the basics of house cleaning and cooking. The way it should be. On that note, when the street lights came on u better get your butt home for dinner.

15 years later : Mom i want to be a girl/boy X). No seriously, i think you can’t impose to your children when they’re grow up.

These images are over 60 years old. This way of life is gone for the middle class.

I don’t hate on stay at home moms, or tradwives for that matter, but I do think it’s important not to force a lifestyle unto your kids. If the girl wants to fish and hunt, don’t tell her that that’s not a woman’s place. If the boy wants to cook and clean, don’t tell him no. And whatever you do, DO. NOT. persecute them if they come out as LGBTQIA+. If you don’t support it, fine, but don’t persecute and/ikr force them into an unwanted lifestyle. Wish you and your kids the best :3

Aww this is so sweet and wholesome!
@no-oh8ze Says:
what's going to happen if your son comes out as gay?
@i_have_too_many_aesthetics Says:
this is a completely fine way to raise children, but please teach your sons how to cook and clean and teach your daughters how to camp and repair a car or survive in the wilderness, they are all basic life skills that your children will need, not just one or the other. also please teach your sons AND daughters that cooking and cleaning is not a woman’s job or that they belong in the kitchen. but im just a random stranger on the internet so who cares what i say lol
@sAm-er2dm Says:
I think both genders should be taught all of these things! You should encourage your children to do what is interesting to them, as well as teaching them life skills. A man should always know how to cook, clean, and sew just as much as he should be able to fix a car, fish, and work. Same for girls 😊😊

ahhhh life before the internet. Refreshing.

Glad to know too when that husband decided to stop being a faithful spouse that I was able to take care of myself financially. You aren’t about SAHM. You are about some time period full of DV and segregation. No thank you!
@anotherjunkie2 Says:
I like being me and not some cookie mold. I get to be both myself and a mom and have a career. My kids are grown and survived and thriving. And where are your successful mid class trad wife’s who are POC photos?
@Susanna-qf1hf Says:
please please please teach your children of any gender to have basic skills regardless. boys should be able to know how to feed themselves and girls aren’t too stupid or weak to fix a car. do whatever you want for the aesthetic, but the 1950s had plenty of BS practices
@jenniferladelviolin Says:
It is a big no for me. Stop encouraging people to this. These images are just pinterest and aesthetic posts. Real life was not like that at all. My grandma lived under those "traditional gender roles", she never had a choice and was forced to marry a man she didn't love becase being a woman she had to obey her father. She had to do everything at home without support of her husband and that put her into a victim position, always dependent cause she never could study or do something on her own. And this is not only her story, but the story of so many women in my country and around the world who were born in "the good old days"
@Lizalazal Says:
What if your son is gay Or daughter lesbian Or trans
@zrunner240Z Says:
For those saying you should learn both roles.... You don't get it....THE WHOLE POINT of NOT KNOWING how to do everything ensures That the MAN NEEDS THE WOMAN and the WOMAN needs the MAN
@jaynebarry5658 Says:
Again with the illustrations. Maybe discuss concrete real life concepts with real examples of how it works for the majority of people instead of a few lucky privileged people.

This lifestyle is for women who want an easy ride. Have a plan b. Your man may not always be there.
@ZomBabeZoe Says:
I'm not trad,but I know how to cook and bake and sew and I try my best to look put together,I believe that all children should know how to feed themselves and maintain their home before any kind of relationship... What if your son takes a long while to find a good partner? Is he gonna stay at home til he is 35 with his mum and dad looking after him? If he can cook,do basic sewing,laundry and keep his own place in good order he is a higher quality partner.

I value the traditional family, but there are specific stereotypes that I do not agree with. I think both the son and the daughter should be taught all of these life skills, so that they know how to provide for themselves and their spouses.
@DrunkLuna Says:
I think dads should also help though. When dad is home, he should be changing diapers

@kaleybear1547 Says:
There is nothing wrong with becoming a stay at home mom or a bread winner father. But allow your kids to explore different skills and interests. If your daughter wants to learn to fix a car or son to cook teach them! They are useful skills for everyone to know.
@ak_ag97 Says:
men and boys get to go get fresh air, riding horses, fishing and shit. but women and girls gotta make dinner, clean the dishes and do laundry. 😂😂 yea i wonder why ppl aren’t traditional anymore

I’m not saying this to offend or judge you but honestly what would you do if your child came out to you as lqbtq+ or expressed concern about possibly have a learning disability

@sharon3229 Says:
Women are free to live their lives however they want. You want to be a traditional wife and mother? No one should have a problem with that. However ladies please be pragmatic. Divorce rate is 56%. Your husband can die prematurely or become disabled. Have a contingency plan in case you need to suddenly support yourself and your children financially.

You know that society is bad, when you have to label things or name them !!! Can't women leave this feminazi ideals alone and just be women again !!!

To everyone saying that boys can also cook & girls can also fix cars: teaching kids basic skills in all areas is important, but most girls _want_ to imitate their mothers and most boys _want_ to imitate their fathers. This is assuming, of course, that the parents are happy in their roles and good at them.
