Ana, SIG Sauer pronounced "sour".
@CalamityJaneDoe Says:
So the parents are guilty of not knowing/understanding mental health issues?
@nicholsdeshan Says:
I thought it was illegal to buy anybody a gun under your name
@newworldbro Says:
yea these parents are straight up tards

My experience with being a juror is that the lawyers and courtroom make it a show. A play really. They carefully coach witnesses to have a particular reaction, say particular things, describe events in a very particular way, all to convince the jury of a person's guilt or innocence depending on the side they represent. Not because the person really felt that way, but because it's a way that will get the desired result. Rittenhouse is a perfect example. The guy was there with the intent to k!ll minorities that were destroying his city. His post trial interviews make this pretty clear. But he sure as hell isnt going to admit those feelings in the trial.
@metalmuumuu4181 Says:
Heaven forbid lawmakers take responsibility. Now we are blaming parents.
@Jhu457 Says:
Not an excuse for this situation, but US citizens are given a f'd up society run by corporate greed, with terrible mental healthcare, and guns that are readily available and displayed on movies and video games as a solution to problems.. Then we blame individuals for their inability to successfully navigate and make the right choices in said f'd up society. It's like giving a new employee at a job zero training and broken tools, and then blaming them for bad productivity and low quality work. We need to focus on the larger societal issues, and stop the reactionary responses to these individual fails, which are just symptoms of the true problem.
@dawnargue3432 Says:
Rittenhouses parents absolutely need to be held accountable as they drive him there!!
@jacobishii6121 Says:
At least they arent blaming firearms.You cant force a kid to participate in mental health care,but you dont buy a firearm for a kid or keep firearms in the house when a kid is having trouble. Definitely a situation where the parents are culpable
@gingersoja4284 Says:
These people buying their kid a gun also screwed up other parents that are taking care of their kids with mental illness. We live 20 minutes from Oxford in Oakland County. Mi daughter has autism and mental illness and drew a gun in her journal. That was 1 pic of of 80 some pictures of happy pics and she was expelled for the year and the police were ignorant towards services in Oakland County and they were ready to arrest her. She has full community supports, but still has to do pre trial probation. Running was not happening. They drove south of 8 mile to Detroit. Very close...not their fault Detroit is a border city. Has they wanted to flee, Canada is right across the Detroit river and could have easily passed. Shouldn't have bought their kid a gun. Now every parent is a suspect.
@stevegraves7040 Says:
No one says that
@theeric Says:
Right-wing mentality: “It’s not my fault!” Their lack of personal responsibility is astounding.

@andresomerville4896 Says:
Parents being held responsible for the actions of their children is a dangerous precedent. We have no idea what the limits of responsibility are. It won't stop at parents who provide their children with guns. Prosecutors are going to go after who ever they can. If a parent allows their child to go to a party where alcohol might be served and the child drives drunk is the parent responsible if they kill someone. If the child gets into a fight at school, is the parent responsible for assault. If the child is a cyber bully and they cause someone to commit suicide, is the parent responsible because they provided the laptop or cellphone their child used.
@Romanji Says:
>life in prison without parole. The kid needs help, why is he being treated as the worse criminal we could possibly have? Mental health isn't a crime? Not saying he should get zero prison time but. Life? No parole?
@chilledmonkeebrains Says:
Why buy him a gun???
@darrylturner2611 Says:

American children can have guns?
@esmewvimes2901 Says:
I hope this prompts some action as far as mental health care. If the school has someone affiliated with DFS that teachers can refer students to, and hopefully stop any of these shootings before they happen. Does this boy have some mental health issues? I feel sorry for their son. He asked them for help. He asked the school for help. The school told the parents their son needed help and STILL they brushed it off. They seem like narcissists.

@abielgarcia463 Says:
If their son has mental health issues I think he should not be judge like a normal person.
@surfwriter8461 Says:
Jennifer Crumbley has since been convicted, and I think that's a just outcome. She and her husband were grossly irresponsible, reckless and oblivious or dismissive about their son calling out for help with obvious mental health problems. I don't believe her testimony claiming she never had reason to believe her son needed professional help or that he expressed being in a state of crisis mentally. The boy's father reportedly told Ethan to "suck it up" when feeling stressed and despairing, and both parents seem to have actually mocked the boy for being weak. They armed a seriously disturbed boy with a gun, went with him to learn how to shoot, kept the gun safe unlocked, downplayed the drawing which was the last cry for help, and otherwise acted in a reckless, irresponsible way. I have mixed feelings about placing the boy in jail for life, because he clearly has mental health problems that jail can't fix and his killing spree at the school was at least facilitated by mental health problems. But the parents need to be held accountable. And I don't buy the argument that this might lead to "good parents" being prosecuted for a child's crimes. I think it moves into the realm of criminality when parents ignore major red flags of a child's behavior and then recklessly provide the kid with a way to kill other people. The example of parents of a kid who commits vehicular manslaugher while drunk, for example, only seems to be a criminal negligence if the parents were aware of the kid's alcohol abuse, he had a previous DUI and they continued allowing him access to the car while still drinking heavily. That's a hypothetical case that I think rises to the level of parents being complicit in a resultant criminal act.

10:05 Once something terrible has happened one would think that they would look back with some regret.
@jeffreycarman2185 Says:
The fact is gun ownership is one of the most risky things that a person can do. Having a firearm increases a person’s risk of death by suicide by 3 times (so a 200% increase). Having a gun doubles a person’s risk of being victim of homicide.
@Ned-e9o Says:
Mrs Crumbly is even worse than Mrs Rittenhouse!
@jeffreycarman2185 Says:
I feel for the Crumbly’s, this is a lose-lose for everyone. But at the end of the day they shrugged off the school’s warnings and all of the red flags.
@Kami84 Says:
How about don’t buy any child a gun, because they’re A CHILD 🤷🏾‍♂️
@bees5461 Says:
She thought he was going to kill himself because "that is what school shooters do" and then seconds later indicates she did not think he had shot anyone. Wut??? The parents could have taken just one single small step and avoided prosecution. They were supplied a cable lock for that gun. The prosecution produced that cable lock, still in the original packaging that had never been opened up. My question - how does Mr C wake up at 9:30 AM and somehow not notice the empty gun case that supposedly had been left on the parent's bed? School starts at 8 AM and Ethan already had that gun in his backpack. I'm not sure how the prosecution missed mentioning this in their closing argument, but the time he woke up was in text messages between the parents. They flat out gave him that gun, it was in his room, and Mr C likely moved the empty gun case into his own bedroom so the police wouldn't find it in Ethan's room and conclude that the parents allowed him to just keep the gun in his room.
@suec.5840 Says:
Don't you think the parents play a role in the violent behavior of most sociopaths? Sadly when people have to work 3 jobs to survive, do children really have parents anymore?
@DanLoFat Says:
Crimo was found responsible in charged and sentenced for his sons killing of those in highland Park Illinois July 4th a year and a half ago. But you are right it is rare. Let's all try to keep it that way.
@lovely-mk4rt Says:
Those parents are 100% as responsible as their son !
@DanRagoo Says:
Wait till they start arresting parent for their children crimes
@billedens4749 Says:
As much as I am horrified by what happened, it is a very dangerous game the prosecutors are playing. The "if only you had done this" game. The parents loved their son and if they had any idea of what was going to happen, of course they would have done things differently. The parents didn't know much of what the school administrators knew. The administrators also had the power to stop what happened, so should they be charged too? Where does it end? Say you are a parent and you know your kid likes to party and then you buy them a car. What happens if that kid drinks and drives and kills someone? Are you (the parents) liable? You knew the kid liked to drink and you gave them a car. Drunk driving was an obvious danger that you should have foreseen. Normally for manslaughter you have to kill someone. The parents didn't kill anyone. Should they have been better parents? Yes. Were they criminally negligent to the point that they essentially participated in killing someone? Not by the normal standards of the law. This case is crazy.

Dude this guy is a joke. How do I stop seeing this ridiculous channel 😭😂
@Rhaenarys Says:
So...the parents def have a lot of responsibility behind this, but...the school absolutely shouldve, if not supposed to like in my state, take immediate action, calling cps and others to get involved as it seems like a case of child neglect, clearly. Like...he should of at the very least been suspended for that pic and note and had cps notified.
@DeaconClash5000 Says:
When you dig into this case, you see that these people were never parents. They were neglectful and emotionally distant from their son his entire life. He was always alone because his parents had no interest in taking care of their child. What they were interested in was enjoying themselves without their son. They were at local bars several nights a week and several of the other regular patrons of those bars, when asked about the Crumbleys, said they didn’t even know that they had a kid. They talked to the Crumbleys many times over the course of years, but their son never came up.
@thomasmichaelschwarz9741 Says:
Your arguments are in line with the fact that the US is a banana republic. Everyone makes it up as it fits them. Otherwise you would ask an expert lawyer what she did to be LEGALLY responsible.
@jaimebaca9439 Says:
I know libs are allergic to accountability but when parents are held accountable other parents may start parenting better or face similar consequences. Weird right?
@TheAGNOSTIC_who_YT_CENSORS Says:
6:21 Some sociopaths can mimic emotions as a manipulation tactic. 9:08 I don’t. 'Juror' should be a profession that requires at least months of training in law, logical fallacies and critical thinking and they should have to constantly work all over the country to avoid inappropriate friendships with local law enforcement. Why would anyone prefer to be judged by a jury of their random peers when they're largely ignoramuses brainwashed by copaganda?

Im sorry, as a former gun freak ..by 24 i had 25 various guns..cause back in the 80s,the gun culture i knew was men and there toys at the range..at least thats what was appealing to me,then the various guns..gun people get that..but real gun people do not have a mentally ill child that they assuage their discomfort of very schizophrenic sounding cries for help by buying a 800 dollar gun..a gun was their answer. Smart.now she can get an education for free..and learn how someone of her intelligence, shouldn't procreate. Im glad this is precedent..it could go sideways..but this was aggregious

Are you f****** kidding me! To say that conservatives are okay with cops shooting people in the back is just another in the long list of disgusting things that this man says. If I were to say to him that all leftists had affairs with their pets and thought it was a good idea to throw kittens off of buildings, he would lose his mind. Just when I think I can give these people the benefit of the doubt, they go and do something like this! I love that Anna said she wasn't going to get into that. This guy was salivating at the thought of disparaging conservatives. He was chomping at the bit! But yet he thought he could run for president. He clearly hates half of the population of the United States. So I don't think, at least not as of today, that anyone should listen to this man. He is biased and hypocritical!
