Hi all, thank you very much for watching! Especially those who have gone through the whole interview and given some thoughtful comments. It's so important to speak to people like Derrick who doesn't partake in the fast-food media cycle but is a serious intellectual powerhouse against the ills of the modern world and establishment governments. I think you'll find deep wisdom in all his work if you give it a listen. You can find his personal channel in the description of this video as well as one my favorite videos of his. Cheers!

Autistic here, I've worked with many people with mental health issues who see in the news that we're the cause of all the problems in the world and its certainty depressing to be called a terrorist, assassin or future murderer by anyone under 30 that doesn't know better who think we don't understand what they're saying or we're too stupid. When I was younger our news used to report "A terrorist attack" now its "A person suspected of mental health" throwing us under the bus before they're even questioned by police.

I used to be a blackpill feminist (if you know you know) and also have read a lot of Derrick’s books after I found him through Rfem interviews and so on. Never thought for a second that I would witness a Derrick Jensen and Lauren Southern collab in my lifetime. Very exciting

So we need IRL community and remove ourselves from the man made echo chamber - but since there's not much habitable non man made habitat left to enter back into relationship with - the only option left is to live like the Amish basically, right?

the central metaphor on life question/answer, was just. dude its so true.. my mind was having flashbacks to my much wiser 18 yearold self, i had the exact same thought, i would explain it to my peers at some drug fueled coming of age nights of teenage rebellion, it all made so much sense. yes, i think this guys right, and on this subject and a GREAT many more, this should be taught in society because its a god damn fact of life that has been so twisted by the current systems, a key part of "common sense" i guess, that just isnt there.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Great discussion, will be ruminating on it.🤔🧐😔😪💡😊

There is a hierarchy to cancelation, however. If he was CANCELED canceled, any video featuring him would vanish from public view. Every attempt to contact a civil rights or landlord-tenant attorney would result in immediate disconnection. Is it getting through that I'm MORE canceled than he is? Haha!

Organized enviromentalist, carnivore gym guy, woo-woo Hippie lady or Lauren Southern, Derrick Jensen has the integrity to talk to anybody and just be himself and spread his message

I have tried to explain to my older gen x/younger boomer mom the hopelessness us younger folks feel and I get told I'm being ridiculous. They don't understand or refuse to accept where things are and where they're going.

Expropriate the super rich, take down monopolies, and build communities. Billionaires dont need tax cuts, but we need security of housing, of medic care. We need time to breathe, to sleep, to cook healthy food. We need affortable food, not the crazy prices that make huge profits for a benefits, for few managers and stake holders in a few companies.

Perhaps people should look to history more. My uncle joined the Army for a job aged 18 in 1938. By 1939/40 he was on his way to defend India against the Japanese. He suffered all the horrors of war Burma had to offer, and didn’t return home until 1946. How was your day at work? Nowhere to charge your phone? No wifi? Traffic jam?

People are working twice as much for less than half! I blame high interest rates. You have to pay your house 3 times over. It’s insane
@girlien Says:
Lauren, try Ivan Illich instead of Ted Kaczynski. There are better people to look to than sociopathic murderers, especially if you're so concerned with the problem of young people finding meaning. You're pointing those very people in the wrong direction. Come on.
@girlien Says:
While not all bad, this interview pisses me off, especially the part about lack of meaning. I'll focus on that aspect and touch on how the lack of meaning concept is bullshit. It's apathy, nihilism, and the unwillingness to take accountability for oneself in disguise. What brings the supposed lack of meaning experienced by people? It's the apathy and entitlement propagated by the rhetoric like that about meaning in this discussion. Meaning isn't freely available, never has been. The freedom that we *actually* have to choose and create meaning for ourselves is a gift. We don't benefit from this gift by repeatedly navel gazing like Lauren seems to do, just in different political contexts, after fucking up the lives and distorting the thought processes of so many people. Stop. We create meaning by trying to live creatively, not under the oppressive dogmas of dead oppressors that lack the context of being alive and all that it entails. Do something constructive that grants new freedoms and longevity to people, reflect on the marvel and incomprehensibly many options that there are for creating meaning. The white picket fence and rewards of working any time in the past were circumstantial just like the rewards of working today. It's a form of nihilism, apathy, and generalized self hatred to think otherwise. The forces that employ us offer oppressions and rewards not dependent on what their employees think they are entitled to, even at a basic level. Fundamentally, I think Lauren is apathetic and nihilistic. It's sickening to see her apply the same rhetoric to a moderately different political context.
@MathTutorVideos Says:
What a fascinating interview. Especially the disembodiment portion with respect to video games and pornography.
@MegaRugster Says:
My opinion is that most jobs are not fun to do, but they have to be done. So to people like Derrick.. I'd say man up and get to it. Life is better when you accomplish something everyday. And Lauren. You look amazing, much improved over the years, you are a fine wine.
