My grandmother’s father died as a volunteer firefighter when she was a child. She always looked back at the memories she had of him and when he was alive with such happiness. Apparently he was a man who lived his life with the attitude of merriment, a cheerful man who loved to be in the company of friends and family. It was devastating for the family when he died in service, it seemed like the light of the family went out when he passed.
Can’t imagine the pain Cory’s family is going through and will continue to go through. Just hope they at least have pride for the man he was, putting himself in harms way to save anyone, especially his family. Truly he demonstrated the best of America on that moment it felt like the nation was reborn, he will not be forgotten no matter how much certain fractions of the country want to put the event behind, we will not forget that day and the sacrifice Cory did to make sure his loved ones were safe.

When I was 12, I was visiting my special grandfather in Chicago at his home and he passed away in the middle of the night, and ON CHRISTMAS EVE!
Anthony, with that in mind we see your recollection of your dear father passing on that special Christmas Day 2020!
Please accept our sincere condolences yet gratitude for your dad’s service in the Fire Department saving lives like Cory and your wonderful father!

I just wanted to add that D. Trump has visibly changed since Saturday's events. He just seemed more confident, more grounded and more about being in the moment vs going on an oratory over Biden's misbehavior. In fact, he only said Biden's name one time, and announced that he would on say that name again. That's a "tell" that says that D.
