Competition. The NFL doesn't have an equivalent league (sorry CFL) that football fans can simply switch to. I didn't grow up wearing light beer merch talking about our brand loyalty with three generations of men in my family discussing what a great year it's going to be for Bud Light. Just as there is no competition for the NFL, there is no lack of alternatives for light beer. The alternatives to Bud Light are numerous. Switching to something else is easy.
And yet as easy as it is to simply drink a different light beer, Bud Light still has a large portion of the market. The most successful Boycott in recent memory that has only been successful because of how easy it is to just drink a different beer will ultimately end with a whimper and not a bang as people simply forget.

Americans boycotting it will cause a hit to their sales. Companies like Nike that does big business overseas is able to just ignore American consumers.
