any update for this? =) ♥ old-phone forever ;)
@noonex6602 Says:
Could you be mindful of your hands? So many people on YT, TikTok, Instagram etc make the pyramid symbol with their hands. It is absolutely NOT natural unless you consciously train your hands.... SERIOUSLY. Even while holding your phone - NOT NORMAL.

@sm1sm2sm3 Says:
Why are you stealing incel language?
@FWMuscle Says:
I went an even more extreme route. I'm 20 In Taiwan, got here a year ago, hardly know the language, got rid of the phone completely. Was talking to my family via skype text or going to computer club just to have a 2-3 hour meaningful conversation, lasted 3 month by far 3 best month of my life I can't even start telling you how much smartphone affected my life, I basically started after 2 month of staring at phone 24/7 summer vacation, no real life friends a lot of texting getting angry, getting upset and anxious just laying in bed eating 3-4 times a day. Only after 1 month i started actually understand what enjoying life is, seeing blue sky actually hearing birds singing whenever i get out. Been doing a lot of hiking actually started to enjoy gym, wasw doing crazy 3 day long backpacking trips with my new friends that are actually friends, that got my back whenever i need them, started talking to girls, went to the club (didn't feel anxious at all). basically CURED and you won't believe it, but found purpose in life, having a lot of new ideas. I did it without watching Lauren's video, just happened by itself was thinking about it a lot. Never going back to smartphones, they are keeping you being a slave to the system. Now got my nokia C201 just to have a mobile number to talk to people. If you read this, I am talking to you my 20 year old zoomer friend, stop making yourself feeling unhappy all the time, try getting it off you for just a week, go on a hike in the weekend with people that you cherrish and if there aren't any go find them on that hike.
@warriorcatshow Says:
Where did you get your flip phone from? I'm wondering if there's something basic out there that doesn't allow the government to track people...

@sharpuslf Says:
Awesome Lauren. I only got a phone because it is required in my job as IT, in the last couple years. I have no interest in apps, and my mind is much clearer than the avergae person

If my mom wasn't soo fixed on smart phones are constant texting... I would get rid of my smart phone. It's crazy right? Coz I'm younger than me....
@szilagyimiklos4757 Says:
The problem is that its getting more and more inconvenient not to have a smartphone with me at all times. I can message workmates, attend meetings, listen to audiobooks, my gym pass is on it and on and on... so yeah this is not feasable for most people
@Middle-Island Says:
Too funny. Im on the same kick. Loving it to be honest. Im on a newer Alcatel flip phone that has youtube and google. I find I use google earth the most.
@kimlee2723 Says:
Never jump for the smartphone, removed all apps besides the a select few connecting family and real time friends. Completely ignore notifications from fb and other social media outlets. Never looked back. Simply decided to stop being a slave to the cell.
@milanka882 Says:
I'm watching this on my smart phone. And I can say that it is handy to be able to though. Having said that though, before I got my smart phone in… 2018… I used to watch YouTube on my laptop and I could only do it when I was at home. And I used to just sit there and type comments out when I wanted to. That was because I had an old Nokia 3310 back then. And I love that phone. It was old, and I couldn't do what I can do with a smart phone, but I loved it. And it was so easy to put music on it from my laptop, so I had a music player whenever I went anywhere. Then my Nokia 3310 died. I was so upset, and I should probably mention that I'm blind. So back in the day, you could get screen reading software to go on dumb phones. But by 2018, that was not the case and the software was no longer available as all blind people were expected to go to the iPhone. iPhones have a very good accessibility options. And so, reluctantly, I would say I was probably the most reluctant iPhone receiver out there. Since I got the iPhone, I have struggled with addictions and things like that. Now, I don't do Facebook, I don't do Twitter or Instagram or anything like that. I still watch YouTube, but I was doing that on my laptop anyway. And I only watch YouTube at home just like I used to do on my laptop back in the day. But there are so many times when I wish I had a dumb phone. For a technophobe like me, it was simple, easy to use, no apps or anything like that, and you just had to use the nine keys and the Alpha pad. Not to mention, like I said, I used to put music on it. And it was so easy… Just took a USB cable from the phone into the laptop, and just load your music into the right folder in your PC sweet, and it was all done through Windows Explorer. So easy, and just no complications. Now, I have to use iTunes to put music on my phone, so needless to say I don't have any music on my phone because iTunes is just so complicated and I just can't be bothered. The upshot of it is, I have a smart phone because, being blind, I have no option. But there are so many times when I miss that old Nokia. And if I could ever have a phone like that, with the voice screen reading software on there that would enable me to read texts, use the contact feature, store contacts, and access my music and stuff like that, I would take it believe me. Life was much more simple back then.
@beautyneytiri Says:
your entire way of speaking... you actually find this normal so no i don't think you'll be able to do this.
@beautyneytiri Says:
oh my god, you're one of those people who think EVERYONE has an iphone ?
@beautyneytiri Says:
and, can you actually TYPE something on a smartphone ? i have to swipe otherwise i CONSTANTLY make mistakes.
@beautyneytiri Says:
you get a dopemine hit when you get a notification ? that's strange.
@beautyneytiri Says:
you talk about this but you don't even seem to be aware of the fact that you can switch off the internet connection on your phone... like hello, why would you have your phone in your pocket at all times with the connection on at all times ? if you're aware of this being nonsense, just switch it off ????
@beautyneytiri Says:
when i'm on the bus for example i feel like ok let me take out my phone to be like everyone else but when i'm on it, seriously after ONE minute i have NO idea what to do on it.
@beautyneytiri Says:
you don't need to get rid of your sartphone to not know what's going on in the world and also no, a smartphone is not addictive. it's your own choice to use these social media apps or not. i love smartphones but i don't use these social media apps at all... i genuinely don't understand why people use them. facebook and twitter, to this day i still don't understand. it's so not logical spend time on it... chatting with people one on on, that's logical. and instagram... i only use that to look at big bodybuilders to be honest. by far most people on there will never reply on a comment so why would you leave comments on instagram ? again, only chatting with people one on one is logical and no it's not addictive.
@briandaniel6354 Says:
This what I am planning to do, just use my smart phone when I need the apps specifically (email, maps, etc). I don't use the smart phone functions very much so it makes more sense to have a dumb phone.
@marcusk7855 Says:
What, are going to start talking to people face to face like some kind of weirdo?
@kolokithas7865 Says:
I try to do the same the past six years. I am still trying to convince myself😅

@mok4735 Says:
Get into burning cds to listen to music
@gadflyfiction Says:
Luddite's unite! I do find it frustrating how every day it seems we need to embrace the new technology more and more just to be able to engage in the world (banking, jobs, schooling etc, all are becoming more and more focused around needed smart phones to participate in)
@tyendrister3598 Says:
Now plug the Smart Phone into a your computer USB permanently and use the SCRCPY program to control it from your desktop. Make it part of your PC workstation.
