"A mall in Ohio issued an apology over the "absolutely unacceptable behavior" at its Easter egg hunt after adults began "pushing children out of the way" to get to the treats, according to local news.
In a now-removed Facebook post, The Greene Town Center in Dayton, Ohio, apologized on Monday for the adults' behavior, which had left "some children leaving empty-handed."
The post said that those who planned the event were "very upset with the outcome of the Egg Hunt, and the way they were treated by community members at the conclusion of the event," WKEF News reported."

I used to volunteer at our local town / school PTO's Easter egg hunt. What we learned is that the best and safest way to have an egg hunt was to have THREE separate hunts. One for the smallest kids, the next for the kids a little older and the third for the oldest kids there, and we had a cutoff age because we had parents who were bringing kids that were 14-16 years old. The parents were always the problems at every one we had and you could have put up a giant neon sign and it wouldn't matter because you have parents who don't care what the rules are, don't care about any kids other than their own and getting them the most eggs possible. It was always a toss up which was worse, the egg hunt or the parents who refuse to wait in lines for their kids to see Santa. I'm glad my kid is older and I don't have to deal with this anymore and it go so frustrating you don't want to volunteer because every year the parents seem to get worse.

I live 20 min north and hit up the Greene frequently. It's my go to cinemark location. It's a beautiful walkable outdoor mall. That being said. I absolutely hate literally everyone here in this godforsaken area. We have the most selfish and entitled adults you will find anywhere in the world. It's the type of place where someone cuts you off Ina crosswalk, damn near hitting you and they flip YOU off. (speaking from multiple experiences) I'm planning on moving to f***ING Mexico fr. I've been to egg hunts like this in some cases. I feel it's exaggerated obviously but what happens is these dumb organizers don't make sperate areas for enough age groups so the oldest kids start knocking over the babies to steal all the eggs and then the adults are like hell no and start checking the unsupervised piss pots who are not happy with the eggs in the ground when they can start also stealing some babies eggs. I refuse to take my kids to egg hunts that don't have at least an area for 1-5, 5-10, and 10 and up. I literally got a bloody nose and black eye at the age of 6 from an egg hunt from some boy who wanted the eggs in my baskets and knocked my ass down for it

People from the Dayton area are the worst.Years ago I took my kid to an egg hunt at the Jersey Dairy in Yellow Springs (yea, it's right down the road from Chappelle's ranch).
