I would have taken this path 10 years ago. I didn't I tried to get help as much as i could but very little was there to help me. I'm glad I was strong enough to get through it.

According to some, the government's policies are already driven by these incentives. It just hides that fact behind prescribed medical protocols in hospitals that usually kill patients, rather than heal them.

To the pinned comment some people recover or get better but not all. This is cherry picking! I think you need a bit more educating on this and mental health in general. Possibly invite on a top psychology professor or something. If you read the actual site and the process it's quite extensive. It's not like the booth in futurama. Come on Lauren, read up in it and rescind what you've said about it being "easy". There has to be tons of evidence that the person is suffering immensely, they have to have been shown to have tried medication and therapy and long term solutions and even then it isnt surefire, they need multiple docs to sign off, they get a lot of intervention to make sure they can go back on it all the way up to the end. It's not some easy thing and doctors do not take it lightly. Nor is it, if anyone thinks this, some government plot. More people equals more consumers which makes the rich even more rich. That's just a function of capitalism. Legislation will be pushed that is pro life by default because of the interests of the rich. We can call this shadow incentive, it happened with the Roe decision. I'll end with a positive, you seem to be a little shaken because you show some empathy. That's good. Your Elon video was really good and I think you're more intelligent and nuanced than you personally allow yourself to be due to biases and pre programmed thinking patterns from various media. I'm not saying be a leftist, just be a bit more discerning. I've heard the type of rhetoric that people use, but mental health problems are sometimes not a phase. They can be lifelong torture and some issues that are severe enough, medical science hasn't caught up with and it is pretty harsh to expect someone to wait 30 years for the next possible iteration of help. Pharmacology isn't there yet and it usually takes a very long time to improve on classes of drugs especially for issues like schizoeffective disorder. Go back and read the official qualifications I think you're being a bit myopic here because it's spelled out right there you can't just go in and get signed off to be robloxed it's quite the process and it's pretty exclusive. Hopefully you'll reconsider. I understand a lot of younger people don't have a grasp on the severity of certain mental health problems and how disruptive they can get. It's just like having horrible terminal illness symptoms but you do not die. It's a life of hell for many and when no treatments anywhere work for a long period of time it's just not realistic to keep trying and suffering. Again, doctors are going to consider it very much and the cases you see online are protected by laws so they can't disclose a lot of the stuff that would make you see how bad it really is. Will there be some doctors that go a bit too easy on it? Perhaps, but they have to be checked by unaffiliated separate parties. Read up on the whole thing you'll see it differently.
