I used to think of Canada as super classy and safe, but I went to Vancouver about 8 years ago and thought it was dumpy no different than any american city. I also went to Toronto and I Don't know why I was surprised by graffiti and homeless people. In NZ, we didn't get a say at all. But the gangs went on tv and said they wouldn't be giving up their guns, so we knew even before it was put through who the only armed people would be. The government even want the police disarmed, and the police currently already can't carry guns, they have to go get them.
