My dad had dementia, at times he was intolerable. I ended up putting him in a nursing home. Being in my 60s with no help, I couldnt take it. He was falsely accusing me of not giving him food to eat as well as wouldnt do anything I told him, got mean with me. I just gave up and had him admitted to nursing home. His brother had dementia too. My aunt was trying to take care of him. He was mean to her and hitting her, but never told anyone. Then one night he beat her so bad she had to call 911 and an ambulance came and got him. They put him in a nursing home and 2 weeks later he died. But my aunt took care of him quite awhile. I ask her one time if she was afraid he might hit her over the head and kill her at night when she was sleeping. Those people can be violent and dangerous.😢
