And a huge LOSS to anyone needing to replace their vehicle...
@AmericanConstellation Says:
This UAW strike is only going to get these workers laid off and the jobs going overseas. It's starting to happen. Unions are communists. The workers don't understand that. When everyone gets paid the same thing regardless of performance. That's not productive. Let's say you go to a college class and on the first day of class, the professor tells the students, some of you will get a F and some will get a A, so what I'm going to do is give everyone a C. What do you think is going to happen?
@ZarlanTheGreen Says:
The wage increases by Toyota, Honda and Hyundai, are the result of the UAW, and also proves that unions help workers, which gives the workers at Toyota, Honda and Hyundai, all the more reason to unionise. That said, if Toyota, Honda and Hyundai hadn't increased the wages, then the far worse wages/conditions, when compared to the unionised car companies, would prove that unions help workers, which gives the workers all the more reason to unionise.
@MrBrownsugar85 Says:
lol the only reason i like my unionized job is because dumb dumbs get mad about it

This is why unions are good for EVERYONE. If workers unionize they have the power to get better wages and benefits when the employer won't raise them out of "the goodness in their hearts." And if employers don't want their workers to unionize like they do at other places, they'll raise wages and benefits on their own. Either way its a win for workers unionized or not.
@Mindlessallen Says:
As a union worker , to all non union workers, you're welcome ,join us.
@christopherconkright1317 Says:
Just FYI I live near the Honda plant. First my uncle retired from Honda. His body is in terrible shape from the repetitive motions. Back to the point. As he retired Honda had something like 85% temp workers. Getting hired on takes years. Temp workers make 11-15 an hour.
@unchartedthickets Says:
Absolutely better to unionize. Pay isn’t the only benefit. Representation is just as important. Management likes to push labor around in many ways. Pay increases are great but worker abuse is rampant.
@NK-xw8ok Says:
Sad how these employers have suddenly magically managed to find the money to pay their workers efficiently more then these dirty employers they have been able to get away with paying their employees! It’s really quite pathetic if these employers! Wow!

@JohnnyJPatt Says:
I have enjoyed listening to you all the YOUNG TURKS. It has helped me realize people on the left are not my enemies. And that I have more in common with them than I previously realized. I’m sure there have been plenty of times I’ve pissed you off challenging you on certain things but it’s never been with bad intent. I believe if anyone makes a claim “regardless of it being a left wing or right wing claim” they should have to prove it!! Hopefully we agree, that’s fair. I also spend an equal amount of time challenging right wingers. Stephen Crowder and Michael Savage absolutely hate me!! 🤣
@butterfly21375 Says:
UNION WORKERS NEED TO STICK TOGETHER FOR THEIR OWN GOOD.!!
@wadebuck69 Says:
You are welcome scabs! But you could be doing so much better with Union representation if you were smart enough to do general math and could comprehend what is called cost benefit ratio. UNION STRONG!
@markcollins2666 Says:
So glad to have crossed the finish line of the rat race. Look: I am content with providing my family with financial security. The wealth oriented want to possess more than anyone, at worker's expense. They see themselves as the only stakeholders, risktakers, and he who dies with the most toys, wins. Now, they are getting kicked in the teeth with harsh reality.
@donteanderson7487 Says:
They represent that traditional blue collar working class White ethnic fighting attitude that used to be the backbone of labor unions --- That's before White ethnics traded in their ethnicness to become just "White" people.
@grahamjones5400 Says:
Thats cool, but lets face it, the UAW is gonna help elect politicians who'll help the automakers get rid of workers and replace those workers with robots.
@teegoareego1702 Says:
Same things happening in Australia. Taking our rights for granted after so many hard fights. Unions Sucking up to Political parties does not get us what we want🦾 If we do not organise & be prepared to fight the workers are guaranteed to lose. Touch one, touch all.
@skler69 Says:
When workers have real power and successfully push change, everyone wins. Well, everyone except greedy, lazy, rich people looking to screw over workers for a quick buck.
@Stan_sprinkle Says:
It’s “hyun-day”. It’s not Hon-dye or Hun-dye or Hy-un-dye. I can’t believe how much this word still gets butchered
@drdr76 Says:
In 1979 I was with a friend who worked at Sanger boats in California. He pulled out a wad of cash to buy a round, said he got a $500 cash bonus because the boss wanted to keep the shop from unionizing and they were about to have a vote.
@TBTrade Says:
This union President is a freaking BOSS. Literally helping workers across the entire industry. I wonder if he has a future in politics?
@dustinlambert3499 Says:
This election is already over. The automaker states are not gonna flip back to Trump. It's over.
@danthsmith Says:
What proves unions work is the shear hostility from the bosses and their lackeys in the GOP
@philliphessel6788 Says:
What Milton Friedman says of the murderous and torturing Pinochet led junta in Chile that he and his students advised is more twisty than a pretzel. Look carefully at that, and at previous and subsequent affairs south of the border, and you’ll see that what Mr. Lambre says is profoundly true. Big capital attempted a literal coup d’etat here at home in 1933; fortunately for us, they were very far from the mark in thinking Smedley Butler would be their figurehead!
@Kingnome Says:
Union Strong!✊🏽

@martinbroduer1976 Says:
The government has been trying to intervene in the dispute with workers and their employers since the people were forced to organize the workers and fight for fair wages and protection from unfair business practices! The government is not an independent party and has been profiting from its efforts in legal restraints to ensure the workers are not given fair protection to guarantee fair treatment and compensation for their labor. The government has been intervening with labor disputes only to represent the corporations that control their own markets and are not allowed to fail in their business. Because the government has not done its job and protect the interests of the people and the country from any potential monopoly of important industries that are considered essential to national security and prosperity from corruption and exploitation by foreign governments and corporations to weaken our government and its interests! The government has no intention to take control over our mandatory industrial requirements,like our power grid and water supply that are not in control of our national security! How can the government control our people in daily life without holding any corporation accountable for their corruption and abuses of our democracy! The government controls the vehicle regulation and the air travel industry to regulate and restrict our travel without interference or inconvenience. The citizens of this nation have every right to be presented with the right of collective bargaining without the need to be forced into action! The government has the responsibility to ensure the people are free not corporations or government entities!

I’m waiting for trump to take credit for the raise the non union shops got.
@petesmitt Says:
I'm in a union and the non-union freeloaders annoy me; benefiting from the sacrifice of others.
@KSpaceyRules Says:
UAW members certainly deserve better pay. Funny how TYT is not talking about all the lay offs that have occurred since the strike. Also, roughly 48% of UAW members are not in favour of the new negotiations. How is that good news?

Love to see it. I’m not in a union but as a software engineer I get paid really well and benefits are great too so I can’t complain. But I love to see this win. Hopefully we’ll see more workers band together like we did in the early 1900s
