I agree with the SCOTUS. That which makes us "special" divides us. As a free country, people are free to live wherever they choose and can afford. If a particular person feels that they are not adequately represented in their state or local government, then MOVE to a locality that does. You can't control the tide, only the rudder that drives your own boat. States should look at population numbers only and divide by the number of electoral votes they have, then make use of an unbiased, logical AI program to draw jurisdiction lines along major transportation system lines to encapsule equally numbers of voters with a small margin of tolerance based on line capacity. Because if you divide the vote by race, you will have to allow for all 60 different races of the world. Not just 2. America is a melting pot country. Stop trying to make it a country of tribes at war against itself.

I believe that the Supreme Court should have looked at the facts and Constitution and how they relate to the division of the selected officials in Alabama. I am not sure that this is what our founding fathers had in mind when they wrote the constitution. The Court, if I recall my college classes taught, they are supposed to make their rulings accordingly. I have to admit I don't know the demographic makeup of the State but i hope that the citizens have the right to live where they chose and not suffer from the historical prejudices of the past. I experienced it in 1970 when I tried to purchase gasoline from a station and was run off because I had plates from Missouri. I hope they have progressed since then. Very thought provoking questions.
