I honestly never expected TYT to foam about a difference of .12 to folks with good credit. This isn't even the interest rate....y'know, that pesky number that haunts you for the life of the loan?....just a one-time fee. You only pay more IF your loan is guaranteed by Fannie or Freddie, and IF your credit rating is in a fairly narrow "above average" category. Based on all of the above....how was this worth air time?

Did anyone confer with senator Warren and Congressman Katie Porter, financial numbers, genius ? Ridiculous decision, terrible and hope the bullshit that 2008 caused banks to fail and the middle class pay the price, Again
@tomfleming8611 Says:
I agree. People with good credit should not have to pay more because of people with bad credit.

I’ve been concerned about the environment since I was a kid in the 80’s. I became vegetarian as my biggest personal move to have less negative impact on the planet. But I haven’t been able to convince myself that it’s a good idea to purchase an electric vehicle. I ride my bike to work as much as possible, but I still need a car, I have a family of 5.
@sherpacool9931 Says:
I've always thought this was backwards anyway, .....this whole thing about, if you have less money, you pay more and higher fees.....what the hell is that......if I can't keep a certain amount of my own money in the bank, I'm charged a monthly fee....get that I don't have 5k in my account so they take money.....wtf is that,? does it cost the bank more money to keep my 4k than my 5k?

@philh8829 Says:
This mortgage fee change is literally Biden just working for the banks. They are incentivizing you to loan loan loan. DEBT DEBT DEBT. Insane!!!!! American Dream is a fraud sold by our banks to put us in DEBT.

Is this just applicable to FreddieMac & FannieMae, which are both the federal programs?

For once its good to have bad credit!!!!!
@nottoday626 Says:
Ana might as well have said pull yourself up from the bootstraps.. the credit rule is kind of pointless .. a better solution would have been to lower fees for everyone regardless of credit .. but to say “why are we not discussing redistributing wealth “ Ana do you know who the president is ? Do you know which party has the house ? Do you know both parties don’t care about the average American…
@mojo6016 Says:
Clickbait! The last part of the headline was not discussed.
@RawrDinosaurgrr Says:
Bill Clinton made it possible for nearly everyone to buy a home. And it ruined the economy for all of everyone. Don’t trust anybody trust your (hopefully) common sense a change of heart is not that rare.

Joe Biden was a Senator from Delaware, a corporate banking friendly state.
@audreymuzingo933 Says:
Trying to separate low income from low credit score just because a few people are exceptions to that (very strong) correlation ...... that's the kind of stunt that FOX hosts do. This stance of Ana's was not only out of touch with the mostly young, mostly struggling TYT audience, the segment went on wayyyyy too long, Jeez girl.
@Barslag Says:
LOL normally I like you guys, but WOW are really reaching for content here. Good credit still pays less in fees than those with low credit scores. And framing it in a way that makes it sound like lower credit scores will be paying less than high credit scores is dishonest. I'm probably done with you guys. I don't like the change either but your framing is absolutely dishonest nonsense.
@roland1912 Says:
We should take a page out of China's housing playbook. Industrial 3D printers = full apartment complexes within a month. Much cheaper, better quality. Why aren't we doing this? Because there's no money to be made in making cheaper, cost effective, affordable housing.
@catshepherd3102 Says:
It’s just another capitalist game. You can’t just buy a house for face value, there’s a harrowing labyrinth to negotiate.
@justincortez3486 Says:
People in affluent families are generally the ones with great credit scores... most of your audience have low credit scores, this reporting was tone deaf.
@williamsanders5028 Says:
BULLSHIT? Lock Ted Cruz the hell up! It's on tape,what more do you need! Their caught an it's all on tape? DOJ! If you don't do anything this country won't ever get it's credibility ever again! Put his ass away??
@peeperfrog3547 Says:
Having good credit doesn't mean you have tons of money. I have worked on having good credit my whole life, and now it feels worthless. And still can't afford to buy a one bedroom condo in my general area. I shouldn't have to pay more interest because this...pretty frustrating. Instead, having more affordable housing for those that need it makes more sense.
@recycleme1224 Says:
So Obama and Biden are friends to the banks when it comes to homeowners versus banks. I don’t get it, unless of course, the banks are helping them out…
@Itsfineweerallfine Says:
The military IS a money laundering scheme for the rich. Prove me wrong.
@davidhunternyc1 Says:
Why can't we pass a federal law banning the purchase of homes from corporations, like BlackRock and Citadel? These Wall Street pariahs treat housing as assets when instead housing is a utility. To further drive down the price of housing we can prevent individuals from buying more than two homes, a primary home and a vacation home. If you own multiple homes, keep two, and the others must be sold. Landlords will not be able to buy apartment buildings and all existing apartments must be turned into co-ops. Obviously, these suggestions are simplified and people will find workarounds and loopholes but these laws must be written to be ironclad. People need a place to live without having to worry about housing and rent payments. We're living in draconian times. We need draconian changes.
@Itsfineweerallfine Says:
STOP PAYING TAXES! The end.
@davidhunternyc1 Says:
This reminds of when Nancy Pelosi said that all transactions over $600 must be reported to the IRS by your bank.
@zeroatlantis Says:
Ana simping for mortgage loaners is something I thought I’d never see. Hey rich lady, I thought you liked policies that helped THE POORS with low credit scores and low down payment ability….like myself. Thanks for the hate after all my support.
@jrblackstar8767 Says:
TYT needs to get their priorities straight. We have a presidential election coming up, and they're attacking the democrats. Who are they actually supporting? It's not progressives or Dems... All republicans must be voted out of politics, period. Biden was elected president because he was the lesser evil, he's a spineless coward, a freaking corporate politician. But at least he's not a seditious traitor with terroristic theocratic tendencies. And credit scores are BS, all it shows is how people are susceptible to getting in debt and as long as you continue to pay on your debt, your score goes up, people who pays off their debts, wind up with a lower credit score because they don't stay in debt and don't get in debt much. It's a scam to get people in debt for life, with the possibility of losing everything. That's corporate America for you. So, what's worse...... Republicans regaining power and democracy is destroyed completely or, dealing with a change in corruption as is the credit score system? TYT should be attacking the repugnants.
@audreymuzingo933 Says:
I know Ana is obsessed with this topic and money in general, but goddamn this is the most tedious episode ever. And there are tons of other things going on besides mortgage fee stuff. It's like she doesn't even realize that probably the majority of the audience can't and never will be able to own a home. It's kinda hard to feel sorry for homeowners paying a little more per month to have their very own place, when so many of us can have our rents jacked up by LIMITLESS increases, get evicted for no late payment or infraction of any kind (my cousin't landlady just decided she wants to let her brother live in the house, so my single-father cousin and his sons have less than a month to find something affordable and not too deep in a sketchy neighborhood).
@jmajick4415 Says:
That's not a regressive fee, that's a progressive fee. She's whining about people with more money than the average are having to pay a little more to help poor people. That other dude likely in the garage of his mansion sitting there whining about having to pay a bit more. Ana has a horrible take on this
