Paul needed to learn a lesson. What he is doing as influencing is kind of dangerous. Yeah, it ain't exactly Andrew Tate, but it is giving some kids the idea that they can take on certain fighting leagues. That sort of stuff can get somebody seriously hurt even if there are rules. Tommy Fury was like a cat diddling and tormenting its rodent prey in the house. Fury could have easily finished that fight earlier.

What I think about the fight is that nobody cares, and for YouTube a much better video is commenting on why it is or is not weird for Jake Paul to become a wrestler, and say very basic stuff like "I thought he was (or wasn't) good at it." This video shouldn't be here, I think it's better if you can become a guest on somebody's wrestling show, radio show, or spots show to say this much detail to part of your audience, and I know that many YouTubers have recently begun saying "I want to talk about whatever I want, instead of talking about specific topics because the audience expects it", however, the reason I say it shouldn't be here is because I don't think you have EVER talked about extreme, mechanics-like details in a way that's possible to be boring or unfollowable if we are not fans. For example, you have definitely talked about TV / movies / geek stuff, and you have probably talked a little bit about details from being in a band and stuff that non-musicians don't necessarily talk about. But both of these topics are something that anyone who likes you can watch, and find "interesting enough" for that day, if they like you and want to see all your videos, even they absolutely hate Marvel and video games meaning, they don't hate Marvel because they think it sucks, but rather, they think "comic books are for kids". Or they're a boomer so they don't even know MCU exists. I don't there's any boomers or annoying girlfriends watching you, but it's an example! However, the "mechanics of a punch" does not fit that. People who don't ever skip videos just because they aren't interested in the topic. People who can listen to any topic, just like we do when our boyfriend or girlfriend tells us about a topic that we never thought about or cared about before then. We can also do that on YouTube, assuming we aren't watching vapid "make up videos" or some crap. But in most cases, that doesn't apply to sports, or cars, there's norlt very many topics but there's a few where it's just literally impossible to follow that topic unless it's presented in a certain way and doesn't talk about "how this punch is better then that punch" or something. Unless, of course, it got scientific, like if Vsauce made a video about punching people? Maybe? So that's why a video like this would be better as a guest on someone else's channel, unless you want to start an entire sub-channel to talk about wrestling. Or, alternatively, talk about it in a way how you would tell this opinion to your girlfriend, if you had a girlfriend who never watched wrestling in her life and doesn't ever want to. Just like people always do if they make a video about the science of rare weather phenomena.

Tommy did not look great in his last few fights leading up to this one which is why people were doubting him. Turns out it was all a trick to goad Jake into taking the fight. From the first round you could tell Jake was in trouble. Landed the right hand a few times but just couldn’t knock Tommy out with it and he clearly had no plan B.

People will clearly use this to validate not thinking of Jake as a real fighter and they could be right in doing so. I mean who knows if he is or not. All we really know is that the first actual boxer he has ever faced beat him by decision. However he has still never been knocked out. So he's got that going for him. That might say more about Tommy than it does about Jake though. Because it's possible that he chose Tommy because he knew there was a chance of him losing to Tommy but, he still figured that he wouldn't get KO'd. So it still feels kind of hand picked.

The combined record of furys opponents were 24W/152L/5D. 4 opponents didn't even have a win to their name.
It's padding. (You know as well as I do this happens in boxing a lot. Especially with a prospect. Mayweather JR included. Look at Camacho Jr when it goes south).
It's arguable that Paul had better opponents. Even with the lack of boxers under his belt.
Why did I bet on fury?
Few things. #1 fury is a boxer. #2 the name. Fury is boxing royalty. #3 Jake has never fought against a real boxer.
This was a great fight for both of them.
But a spade is a spade. Neither are good (yet). Both have potential. But neither are special. Neither are top talent. Both just have a name.

This was a predictable outcome.
