The issue everyone is overlooking is that most of these companies are privately owned enterprises. How many Niger private enterprises are there, and why are they not making investments in their country, like the Europeans and Asians have and are doing. Russia is not a solution to economic issues in African countries.

Niger is right by the way as for the end of this year the contract will expire so Niger does want them to take as much as they could rather want them to go empty handed
@Pet_lovers67 Says:
They should renegotiate the contract so that they get the lionshare of uranium sales, and make sure they end exploitation of workers. starting a company from scratch is difficult; figuring out logistics, distribution channels and all that is gonna take a long time.

@omarsyed1980 Says:
Cuba has been a 'dictatorship' since 1953. It has the highest standard of living in the Carribean, Central and South America. The same was with Lybia, an African 'dictatorship'. Even the vaunted ANC of SA has now turned its back on actual South Africans and is now in cahoots with apartheid Boers. Western democracy is a myth. As someone who lives in the West, I am intimately aware of that fact. Even the birthplace of Western democracy isn't run by its people, it's run by German, French, UK, and US bankers. Nations need good leaders, no matter what kind of government they run.

Hi Zack, found your channel this morning and subscribed. Great reporting. Do you think that the difference in price from £00.2 to £200 per kg represents the invisible money? Money that is generated for financial networks operating outside of the visible economies. The value or the ore is the value but who benefits is not always obvious. I have high hopes for Niger to push back on these secretive transnational operations, maybe BRICS will help?
@omarsyed1980 Says:
The descendants of slaves of Haiti aren't free to this day. And other former French colononies expected to be free after the French told them they were free? How gullible do you have to be? No former colony is free until they excise any and all colonial influence from their midst.
