Ranked Choice Voting is a good compromise. The fact that Republican's get a baked in 5 point advantage in every general election is insane. I'm sorry but in a Republic everyone's vote should count equally. The top four states equal roughly 112,000,000. That not even half so the argument that politicians wouldn't need to campaign elsewhere is weak. We've had a system that has favored one side over the other for decades and because of it we've fallen into minority rule when we should have had a popular candidate. Currently, our elections hinge on 5 states anyway so what the hell is the difference if they hinge of 5 different ones?
