For me it was not that she flipped/flopped on pronouncing Kamala’s name. It was when she made the comment “i will pronounce it any way i want”. It is one thing to be unsure, but to go on to say you will disrespect someone and not try to pronounce their name correctly is immature.

However, Ana has become completely untethered from reasonable inferences here. Is it possible Mace didn’t intentionally mispronounce Kamala’s name? The citations of the same things being done to others (e.g., Obama) extensive. It’s childish, but some republicans think it passes for a joke/insult.
It’s funny that Ana takes a contrarian stance to this, but quickly drew all the needed inferences when Vivek “forgot” her name during an interview. She was super heated about that, although I’d argue that there is far more reason to believe Vivek innocently forgot her name than Mace innocently mispronouncing Harris’s during an interview.
And this is just a minuscule issue. But Ana’s utter refusal to take seriously the inference to the best explanation is something that has really infected her contributions for the last year and change. Notice the difference in the standards of deference/charity she applies to someone like RFK (for example) versus someone like Gavin Newsom. When I overhear some of her takes these days, it really is something to behold. I know there’s a lot of speculation—almost elevated to matter of fact assertion—as to her motives behind taking some of the positions she has more recently. While I don’t really have an opinion in general on that, I do wonder with respect to some stories, whether she even realizes the different standards she applies to different cases and individuals, seemingly for no more principled reason than I have in when I experience a gut reaction.

My daughter lived in France for almost a year...she LOVED the South of France and other areas outside of Paris. Now that being said she liked Paris too, but Barcelona was one of her favorite cities! Also, she said the smaller towns of the Netherlands were incredible.
