I was a feral child, I had no supervision. I spent most of my teenage years homeless couch surfing in Las Vegas NV. I knew right from wrong even without parental guidance. I made a lot of mistakes but I never hurt anyone or killed anyone. I now am a business owner, a mother and I’m always looking for new avenues for income. My children are the most well mannered, kind, loving and smart little girls. I am so proud to know how to parent when I myself was not parented, was abused, beaten and pushed away.

I know a single woman that works many hours who while she was passed out from exhaustion her son did exactly that. Wasit her fault? Should she be held legally liable for this child's actions?

My personal opinion is that if your kid shows no red flags and seems responsible and mentally sound it shouldn’t be your fault for introducing them to guns, which are just a tool, not knowing what would happen. This is totally different however because he was abusive, the mother was on drugs, he knew how unhappy his child was, he deserves to be punished but I hope this doesn’t set the wrong precedent

I think parents are more times than not absolutely responsible for their children committing crimes. I think in most cases they should be held responsible with their children as well. I raised my child and if she did something that caused society big problems I am responsible for raising her to be dysfunctional and deserve to be held accountable and my child is almost 30.If parents are held responsible they would step up their parenting game. Too many parents abuse their child or allow others then when they do something horrible only the child is held responsible. Stop raising monsters.
