If they’re going to make ivf free or cheaper then they need to make adoption costs lower! I just finalized the adoption on my son and it wasn’t a crazy amount because it was a private adoption (and I think there may be a tax credit). But some friends of mine have struggled with infertility and are going through an agency and the cost is just outrageous!

I think we need to incentivize families. Especially having children. The earned income credit max out at 3 children. This needs to be changed for large families. We also need to make is a benefit for marriage instead of a penalty on taxes. There are many ways the government could change rules to make having more children a good thing

in '97-'98 my wife and I used ivf (after already having one daughter with help of fertility drugs in' 93.)
we were middle class at most and I had basic health insurance through work. (an independent hvac supply company.) somehow back then my insurance covered everything. I had no idea they stopped.
