The truckers at Coutts were there first, peacefully protesting (as opposed to the type of peaceful protest accomplished by AntiFa and BLM) what they perceived as government overreach and tyranny. When RCMP arrived loaded for bear, RCMP escalated the situation. To say that Canadians have guns, but they can't use them to repel a tyrannical government is to say Canadians don't have guns.
