I have lived in several cities including Vancouver, North Vancouver, Calgary Ab twice and have never seen or experienced wild fires in Canada that have been allowed to destroy townsites only since Trudeau/NDP Coalition took charge of this country awfully suspicious !!! High density being allowed will cause fires. Parks Canada environment minister has fallen down on the job and be held accountable! Where are the Mayors in all of this planning C40 Mayors. ??? Billions of tourists and migrants illegals allowed in to the Country uneducated on forests and fire danger and camp fires ? It’s not Climate Change ! Irresponsible and disrespectful disregard for fire safety and forest restoration !

How much of our “carbon footprint” comes from allowing our forests to burn to the ground? Make it make sense.

Alberta is fortunate to have a Premier such as Danielle Smith. She is a leader who actually cares. Years ago, myself and a group of friends drove through Alberta and felt right at home everywhere we went. In early September we drove from Edmonton to Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff, Penticton, and on to Vancouver before we made our way south again to the US mountain west. Never before or since have I seen such stunning majesty and beauty as these national parks. Where is Prime Minister Trudeau? He should be presiding over this disaster.

Why doesn’t the Alberta government access oilfield service companies in these emergencies? We have many water transfer companies capable of laying 10” hose through rugged terrain to move massive volumes of water. Hundreds of frac pumps and mobile cranes could be rapidly rigged as gigantic water cannons. Trained oilfield crews could have pumped the Athabasca river on this fire.
