Progressive president trust buster president. A u turn from mckinley
@charlesferdinand422 Says:
All well and good except there's no such thing as "cowboys" because "cowboys" are a shameless copy of the original Mexican Vaqueros: when the United States stole two thirds of Mexico they also stole Mexican culture because they have none of their own (their most important original made-up "holiday" is Thanksgiving which consists of eating turkey).
@joe8315 Says:
I love Theodore Roosevelt. My only objection to him is that he left his daughter behind while traveling out West.
@michaelman957 Says:
But he wasn't big on the Constitution, which led to his rift with Taft that gave the presidency to Wilson. Not his finest moment.
@cheesefries7436 Says:
They don't make politicians like him anymore, unfortunately.
@raterNAZ Says:
we could use some Teddy again right now.... cant believe they took down his statue from the front of the American museum of natural history!
@ResortDog Says:
He made the Sheldon Antelope refuge with the Audubon Society protecting the inland flyway protecting the black opals mining district in all directions by withdrawing it all from mining...all of NW Nevada that is.
@rodneyjohnson4056 Says:
We need another Teddy Roosevelt in office.But until then I'll settle for donald trump
@kemlloyd5192 Says:
Teddy lived life to the fullest with all them jobs. Only in the USA 🇺🇸!!
Another dope piece by PragerU.
@SabbathSOG Says:
Are you sure it was San Juan Hill? I read that it was Hill 29. But they used San Juan Hill because it sounded so much better. Would a politician do that?
@paulmilsaps4476 Says:
We need more of them damn cowboys!
@gorilladisco9108 Says:
Teddy Roosevelt was the one responsible of the erosion of US Constitution.
@Crimsonvandal Says:
Is every professor from Hinsdale college desperate to sell a book?
@selfcontrol9982 Says:
I am always pulled between which President was best Theodore Roosevelt or Abraham Lincoln. I think President Roosevelt would be ashamed of what the progressives became. 😔 William McKinley was just as great.
@rogereriksen2472 Says:
I used to hold Theodore Roosevelt in the highest regard. The revelation that he was a limp-wristed lump as to not being a strict Constitutionalist is deflating. It reminds my of our current moron-in-chief who thinks (and does) whatever the hell he wants, legal or not!!
@jonforde3651 Says:
Imagine what it would be like if Teddy Roosevelt was alive today in New York. He would raise hell telling mayor Adams to do his job, find a way to stop the crime wave and ship the ILLEGAL migrants back to where they came from.
@marcosvinicius-iq4lp Says:
Some conservatives might criticize Teddy for his views on a powerful executive branch, but he was not that different from Hamilton on this issue.
@fencepost7able Says:
That was the Great White Fleet visiting Panama
@ab5olut3zero95 Says:
I respect TR, but he was an early progressive and intentionally ignored the Constitution and set a terrible precedent. He was a good man, but had his warts just like everyone.
@ethanl4931 Says:
Ted Mosby's favorite PragerU video
@greencello599 Says:
Theodore Roosevelt had a lot of accomplishments in and beyond the White House. Even though he was a big game hunter, he also was one of the biggest advocates for conserving areas as national parks. Many of the stuffed animals in the American Natural History Museum, I believe, were due to his want of showing the natural world to the common man. I think it was his youngest son who died in World War One that hurt him the most. The pain was made harder by the letters that arrived after the young man's death. Roosevelt's oldest son and namesake led American troops onto Utah Beach on June 6, 1944. General Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously because he died of a heart attack not long after leading his soldiers into France. He is buried next to his brother.
@gloriachecchi5720 Says:
President Roosevelt is one of my most loved Presidents. I have an iron sculpture of him on a horse hanging on my wall. I look at it everyday and try to imagine how he was.He was man of many talents. I'm so glad I listened to your story.
@hzingano Says:
so... he did terribles things?
@TheSpectacledOwl Says:
The first official progressive president.
Highly overrated president, in my opinion.
@bele2.041 Says:
"I can control Alice or I can run the country, but I cannot do both!"
@schlirf Says:
The Roosevelts (the Colonels Side) were and still are an amazing family!
@hankw69 Says:
As a former Fargo resident(born and raised), I can state with pride that his time in North Dakota made that New York dandy into an American man.
@marlonmoncrieffe0728 Says:
You are going through these biographical videos too fast.
I want this presidential series to conclude AFTER the upcoming inauguration next January.
🗽 Anyway, as a fellow New Yorker, I am proud to be able to claim such a badass as one of our own!
@c.b.s.3495 Says:
He was a freemason.
@sjoerdderks4731 Says:
Teddy will be the president with the biggest balls.
@connorflaherty175 Says:
I speak softly, but I carry a BIG stick.
@leroyjenkins4671 Says:
Dee-lighted!
@SirMevan Says:
Not the biggest fan of his downplaying of the Constitution... Nor of his push on the Panama Canal. Don't know how I feel about him.
@jamestyler3606 Says:
He also helped Woodrow Wilson become President by running against Taft and split the republican vote
@tjedwards4254 Says:
That wasn't even half the story!
@arielkarat4338 Says:
Theodore Roosevelt tyrant and socialist
@Autobotmatt428 Says:
One of the most Badass men to be president
@Lollygagger-k4p Says:
By far my favorite president. Fiery and controversial, he put the world on notice that the United States had arrived.
@TickedOffPriest Says:
Never give your enemies power, they might just use it.
@josephstratemeier8619 Says:
He definitely lived an inspiring personal life; however his politics were pretty authoritarian when you think about it.
@uingaeoc3905 Says:
Bully-Bully! Do we get part 2 for Teddy?
CHARRRRGE!
@OkTxSheepLady Says:
It doesn’t sound like Teddy took the country in a good direction. The laws should be enforced by the President, not initiated by him. Seems we have another man in office with no respect for the Constitution and duties of his office.
@terryboyer1342 Says:
Bully good vid!
@Paladin1873 Says:
And Congress, taking a page from TR's philosophy, has largely ignored the Constitution ever since.
@cleaterose5914 Says:
" a steam engine in pants"
@texashale65 Says:
Roosevelt is one of the worst presidents. YOU MUST FOLLOW AND OBEY THE CONSTITUTION! No wonder our country is so screwed up. People really don't care.SHOCKING...
@jamesphilip6737 Says:
I see Robin Williams in that role nowadays.
@ericmadsen7470 Says:
Trump and Roosevelt have alot in common. One in particular is that they are both deal makers. The difference is Roosevelt was better at it.
@bosse641 Says:
What's wrong with being a cowboy then ??? Pathetic people in this world.
@simitarknut2201 Says:
Hey PragerU, I seem to remember one of the late Paul Harvey's stories about someone who was (un)officially president for an afternoon (or less than 24 hours)? Something about the outgoing POTUS and VP both having to leave town before the new POTUS was sworn in? Spent the majority of the term(?) napping in the oval office.
