What exactly is a conspiracy theorist? It’s an odd label. first, what is a conspiracy? Well, it’s a set of lies that two or more people agree to tell everyone else. So are conspiracies real? Duh, of course they are. Every time you get a “cash deal” at the auto shop, you are participating in a conspiracy against the government. You pay less in cash, so there’s no paper trail, so neither you or the shop owner have to pay the taxes. You conspire with the shop owner.
So ya, it’s not crazy to “believe in conspiracy”. People conspire everyday.
So, a conspiracy theorist is just someone who doesn’t automatically accept a narrative. It’s just critical thinking.
