I'd say these environmental groups aren't really that interested in "saving the planet" as they are in drowning the country in red tape, and hopefully, wrecking the economy and destroying the country. As I understand it, the environmental and animal rights movements here both had their roots in Nazi Germany, and their growth here was initially funded by Nazi front organizations. When the Nazis lost WWII, the Soviets took over surrepticiously funding them. I read recently that the CCP may now be doing the same.

I was listening to a hearing of the fourth circuit on this very matter. They were aghast that Congress had the audacity to take this case away from them and move it to the DC circuit. That's the way it sounded to me.
