Thought it was mainly about its design & it supposed being unsinkable,,, which it proved that it wasnt!
@matthewboyd8689 Says:
He was a tragedy caused by not having enough lifeboats, the closest boat having turned off the messaging system, and the fact that it was the most busy route and yet no one was close enough to save them, except for that last boat. Also the term unsinkable on they came about after it sank
@RubmaLione Says:
The “wealthy” people on board were not just wealthy. Some of the most important and influential figures at the time in politics, business, and more died onboard which had significant impacts on the timelines that followed.

@Henry-k6f6x Says:
“rich people dying why are we all focused on that” more like major political figures and others with extreme influence in this case.
@crownonpoint Says:
That makes you think about the amount of real life stories that have been forgotten in the passed. How much history has been changed due to the "good story" rule. Sad really.
@gergogaal568 Says:

@bpdbhp1632 Says:
Why do people always make it so complicated. It was the biggest ship in the world and it sunk on its first voyage. Its just as simple as that. Nothing more nothing less. And they never claimed it to be unsinkable. Its still the biggest shipwreck together with her sister ship the britannic
@Pasdpawn Says:
Unfortunately this is will continue forever. Only winners get to write their history. Only american values matter. Only america matters. Thats the reason why aliens always invade america
@Proven_Data Says:

@olddirtymongrrel Says:
It is a weird thing about society, tragedies that affect the rich and famous are remembered in detail by the public. Tragedies that affect the everyday people becomes a statistics, and large body count turns it into a disaster.
@EngineeringFan1776 Says:
It was mainly famous due to how technologically advanced it was. It had a Marconi set, large watertight bulkheads, a double keel, more lifeboats than required, and how very few things could realistically sink her. It was like a story of Achilles, where the only thing that could go wrong, went wrong. It’s wireless also allowed it to be one of the first shipwrecks to be documented in real time, which allowed for rumors before the passengers even got to New York. All of this is mentioned in “A Night To Remember”, which is a very informative book.
@geraldhardy4257 Says:
It was unsinkable or so they say but it did sink!

- An engineering marvel, thought to be unsinkable, sank on its maiden voyage. - Affects all classes of society, from the rich to the poor. - Highlights class struggles as the lifeboats aren't enough for everybody and the rich got on first.
