The best thing to do with indigenous people is to come to an accord on a lessening of the land for a set period of time, and to have regulations in place to protect the people and land.

I'm Ponca Oklahoma and we have many tribes and the problem with that is We don't always see the solution as one, but when we rise as one we can withstand even the modern government just like our ancestors did But apart we can be destroyed just like our ancestors where.
It is my hope that one day we won't have to fight for our rights, that they will be naturally inherited and respected like anglo americans

FYI, mining is at the root of all of the energy sources, not just "green" sources. We need to address issues associated with all the sources, of course. Regardless, we have to move away from using fossil fuels. Have to.
