I’m so happy! Thanks to our supposed current vice president Bernie Sanders for publicly endorsing him! I was worried that Paul Vallas might win because Lori Lightfoot was also endorsed by Bernie the last time that she ran and she didn’t even make it to the final round of this year’s runoff because she didn’t do anything to help Chicago and didn’t govern like a progressive and I was so worried that they were going to go to the right of her. Instead, they went to the left of her. Thank God! I live in New Jersey, but at the same time, I’m so excited for Brandon Johnson to be the new mayor of Chicago! As much as I think that it’s important to hire more cops, we need the right cops, not ones who make accusations against you, with little evidence at most to back it up. I think that Chicagoans are going to be very fortunate and lucky to have Mayor Johnson in office in a month.

Well, while this is an initial victory for progressives, it puts pressure on him to lower the crime wave by unproven progressive methods. To be accurate, Progressives have a really poor track record in solving crime, so this will give them a shot. If it does not work, it could have a pretty bad backlash against Progressive methods.
