All generic charging cables come from China. Ya’ll addicted to your phones and clumsy. You lose the charger and buy a generic one from China and as a soon as you connect it that cable logs in your network and gives access across the world to whoever sent the cable.
Never borrow any electronic equipment specially IoT and always buy original from a reputable physical store. Never buy electronics on Amazon or eBay. Never let a chinese phone connect to your home wifi.

@JustSomeGuy009 Says:
That's what happens when all the electronics are going through Chinese infiltrated logistics. It's well known you can implement small chips that go undetected. It's why the DoD and contractors have extremely strict tules around where literally everything is sourced from. Even down to the metal in a server rack.
@Xas08 Says:
Same with Google
@Chris-b5n5z Says:
That was their plan all along
@dartmart9263 Says:
The US is stuck thinking in terms of conventional warfare, while China dances circles around them using UNLIMITED warfare (military, diplomatic, economic, cultural, propaganda, educational, electronic, litigation, etc).
In many ways it is a war where one side is absolutely clueless that a war is taking place). Clueless and in denial, thinking that China is still a potential friend and ally. So sad.
@Realityisathing Says:
Now he can do something about it

I remember the police had this device that was like a gun and could be aim at vehicles (in a police chase for instance) and with an EMP ( electromagnetic pulse) it would disable the vehicle immediately. And to my self Im immediately thinking criminals would have a field day witn this. Any technology thebpolice can get the bad guys can also tske advantage of. Duh!?

When he said "I found it", that was the saddest part of this entire story.
Most people are so divorced from the concept of real freedom that they don't even understand what it is. It hasn't been here in America since the 1980s.

The west has enemies. To think this is not true and some kind of anti inclusive racism is burying your head in the sand. All countries have enemies. Being against China and their policies is not being racist against people of Chinese heritage.

Obviously. Anything that you, or any company can do legitimately, someone else can appropriate illegally.
Any speaker or camera or history or onscreen action can be watched or interrupted... it's just unlikely you'll be a target if you have no significance.
But ALL govt, utilities employees and upper rank critical business operators should be trained in security measures and proper operating protocol.
@Call_Me_Mom Says:
This is something that should have been addressed years ago by our intelligence agencies. I don't think it is just the Patriot Act backdoors either.
If anyone thinks that China, having the opportunity - through the fact that they are the manufacturers of our phones and have been since they started making them - WOULDN'T have made backdoors, they need to check their critical thinking abilities.
One can only imagine how many of our legislators/key people in business/sciences/education have been compromised. Either through outright blackmail or through manipulation shaped around knowledge gained through having access to all calls/texts/emails.
@k.c.2428 Says:
Get rid of the patriot act.

The Five Eyes Alliance, an intelligence sharing agreement between the governments of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and Canada, has been criticized for a number of issues, including: Spying on citizens, Security clearance violations, Overt spying, Encryption debate. However, in recent years, FVEY documents have shown that member agencies are intentionally spying on one another's private citizens and sharing the collected information with each other.😂🙉🙈🙊
@labhrais6957 Says:
Scary, but not that surprising.
@markmabery138 Says:
They used it the same way our government uses it. The "patriot" act is just a way to spy on us. Elon needs to hurry up and release his phone.
