Correction: Joseph's brothers wanted to kill him, but one of his brothers, Reuben, made them spare his life by throwing him in the hole so he could come back and get him later. Then Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery behind Reuben's back.

There is no Cain and Abel in the Torah, just QN and EVL. King James Bible was designed to make dumb people stupid too.
@StefanSochinsky Says:
So, just to be clear here, let me explain what you just said a little differently: If God has declared that the will of man is toward evil from his youth, and if we are created in God's image, then you must then also assume that the will of god is toward evil

What kind of good god drowns the entire world? Is simply changing the mindset of the so-called wicked people too much?
Also: the story of Noah and the flood was plagiarized from older myths, just like many other Bible stories.

In the Epic of Gilgamesh the God Ea out of his love for humanity saved Utnapishtim and his family because he was seen as a virtuous and wise. He saved him and his family by having a boat built. Also Gilgamesh was one who contested the decisions of God's just like Abraham. No disrespect I just love the story of Gilgamesh alot and wanted Mr Prager to know he might have missed some details. Don't crucify me lol😅

Mr. Prager.. You are such a blessing in so many ways! Thank you for sharing the gifts God has given you..!

Genesis 12 tells us why God chose Abraham: "I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” The aim is to redeem the world. And that is what has been done in Jesus Christ.

I wouldn't call it an argument, I think that's the wrong term for it. Abraham was advocating for any righteous persons that might be among them (and knowing that Lot would be among them), and he did it humbly, saying he was but dust and ashes (like who am I to speak to the Lord this way?) and asking the Lord not to be angry with him as he kept pushing the number further and further down. It sounds to me more like he was afraid to do it but overcame the fear and plead with the Lord for the sake of the righteous. The Lord would have known this, and I think that's why the Lord was ok with it.

I haven't read the Torah. I've read mush of the KJV of the Bible and it seems the Torah and the Bible are pretty similar. Interesting.

Was God preoccupied with goodness when he wanted Abraham to kill Issac. When he wagered with the Devil and put Job through the comedy justice, was he preoccupied with goodness. Nothing rational about god doing injustices.
@TickedOffPriest Says:
Abraham reasoned that Lot would have at least converted a few people to be godly.

They did not have 2 sons. Eve had one with the Nachash and one with Adam. Two lines. And when the son of the Nachash did away with his spiritual half brother because of envy, Adam had a new son to keep the lineage going, Seth.
