I already don't want to see this movie.
@Cubeinhand2q Says:
Who cares?
@johnweimer3249 Says:
This controversy is brain dead.
@noktin Says:
Why is it important how amazing she is? What does her amazingess have to do with her overreacting to a fan-made poster?
@munchuriancandidate Says:
It’s classic Diva move non? Artists performers feel everything very deeply? ADHD spiral is what it looks like to me. I guess we feel like we can do anything to anyone’s image and that’s part of the fame package… she feels this was a violation - I feel bad, bet those fans feel bad too as they almost certainly did not intend that harm…
@MorePlausible Says:
So dumb! And very unprofessional of her to display such an outburst..
@Andrew-tf8jt Says:
Another pathetic actress who cares
@JeromeBellon Says:
I don't mind most of the changes in the movie poster from the Broadway one, but I agree with the fans on one point: the smirk. The movie poster doesn't give a feeling of "wickedness" without that smirk. Everything else is fine.
@uncomfortabletruth5915 Says:
Tell her to, please, save the drama, for her celluloid inflections.
@TheAndysim66 Says:
Who are these people ? Why should I care? These are first world problems
@matthewcarter1973 Says:
I cant express how little I care about this story.
@Supreme_1906 Says:
The problem is that she could potentially have sabotaged an Oscar nomination. She needs to stay TF off social media...
@tobyallen1203 Says:
Pausing before I hear why she's mad, to just say that visually, I like the fan update better.
@under_score3829 Says:
Finally! A story where the Fans aren't the Boogeyman.
@Adam-fl9uc Says:
She shows signs of psychotic tendencies. Can take things way too personally and blow them out of proportion
@ameliaalastairmoon4145 Says:
So this rich, super-successful actress with a Tony-winning, amazing voice is having a meltdown and claiming all sorts of victimhood over well-intentioned fan-art. And we must find a way to empathise with her? I honestly just feel sorry for the poor bloke who created the poster out of love for the show, and is now on the receiving end of her endless, whiny entitlement. People in America should really get over themselves, imo.
@FreedomforHaiti Says:
Seems like the actress is drawing more attention to that fan poster by speaking up about it.
@liamereiam Says:
Fragile actor ego… this is like when Stallone played Dredd and had to show his face.
@Nosh_Feratu Says:
classic example of a highly talented individual believing, wrongly, that said talent is justification to be a complete arsehole. Cynthie love, it isnt ok.
@BunieLuv Says:
The birth of a Karen
@STSWB5SG1FAN Says:
They should have made the movie version of the poster more resemble the one from the Broadway show. The come out with the version that shows more of the actress's face later.
@whyknot172 Says:
Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard. You already know.
@akira1205 Says:
It's just a fan edit. Who cares? (I mean besides her). If it was an official poster, then maybe it could be more seriously. I can see that.
@hattiequinn93 Says:
It is as bad as when they changed the butt on the girl from Fallout.
@WaterGates1 Says:
She's wylin'. Ol' girl needs to relax. It ain't that deep. Smh.
@BigHomieSteveTheMetalHead Says:
Hollywood wokester with a victimhood complex throwing a temper tantrum over nonsensical bullshit? What else is new? This is why Hollywood is dying, they make shit movies (most are remakes) with all of the woke boxes checked with contempt for the audience and wonder why movie after movie fail at the box office. Just make a regular damn movie, that's why the movies that don't focus on the woke bullshit are successful in this environment.
@lorenblaine5275 Says:
12:10 yes so nice to have something "original" like Wicked.
@mrddcass6540 Says:
Wtf are you even covering this?
@askapk Says:
As big of a deal as she is making about the poster... so too are we about her reaction to them. Who cares. She complained about one fans poster. She's allowed to have a human moment online. She doesn't deserve to be cancelled or mocked. Yes, when we focus on the one thing she said about this one poster, it seems in bad taste, but who cares. She's allowed to feel a certain way about whatever she wants.
@mrddcass6540 Says:
Lol this looks like the stupidest movie ever made.
@whyknot172 Says:
This is ridiculous. When I saw the original poster after seeing the new rendition I was disappointed that they didn't accurately replicate it. Ive never seen "Wicked", but the artist was purposeful in hiding the eyes of one and the mouth of the other. Could be for style, could be foreshadowing, could be both or something else completely but to be the artist of portrayal, getting this mad over accuracy and to take it so personally is wildly deranged.
@starshake8998 Says:
A thespian being melodramatic? Never! 😂
@starfishandroid Says:
Is this supposed to be a racial thing? Cause as black person I don’t get why she’s angry if so. If not, forget I revealed im a black person. Is it cause she’s bald? She has issues.
@Boobalopbop Says:
Sometimes actors… Especially theater people get way too full of themselves. Who can get this bent out of shape over fan art. How could she compare that to something as crass as “what color are her genitals?”. It’s fan art… The artist just wanted it to look more like the Broadway poster. She really could have taken this up with her therapist.
@esotericoutcast641 Says:
I see she's going for methodical acting, considering how much of a wicked bitch she's being.
@MaxWell-kg6dx Says:
I think her reaction was a bit strong, but the online reaction to the whole thing is way over the top. It's not like she started sending out Cease and Desist letters to X users.
@tooturtly Says:
wicked mexico is absolutely right. :)
@daddyaf945 Says:
I like them both
@jimfogarty6385 Says:
If this is the most offensive thing she's ever seen, I have to ask did she see the news today? Or any other day.
@jklegend2170 Says:
Everyone offended by everything these days. Makes me sick.
@NickGagnon-u1v Says:
She is serious? Its like she never had a real problem in her life.
@babyamyxo-o6c Says:
They want to use the stars to sell the movie. But controversy sells even better. 💁🏼‍♀
@crystalromero9165 Says:
Read the book. It explains so much about Elphaba's back story.
@kevinjfallon Says:
How cute is Yasmin’s passion for movies!
@geneiwanskijr5957 Says:
She is a Diva. Why is anyone surprised.
@HJ-ll8iq Says:
If anything it shows how privileged she is. She is losing her mind over a silly movie poster while American families are struggling with inflation and children are being blown into pieces in Gaza. Privileged narcissist.
@kpeezyforsheezy Says:
I have a genuine question — What the actual f***? She should’ve taken that up with her therapist. Maybe this is a “no such thing as bad publicity” type promotion for the film? That’s me trying to give her the benefit of the doubt because I can’t imagine a bigger nonissue. I kind of feel bad for the fan that put the effort into making that poster that I’m sure they were proud of and figured the cast would appreciate if they came across it — just to have this reaction. Was this on anybody’s bingo card for issues we thought we’d be dealing with in the year 2024?
@IngenieurKane Says:
She needs to learn what real racism is.
@BigHomieSteveTheMetalHead Says:
For every Californian who is fed up with lawbreakers running wild with no consequences, vote YES on Prop 36!!! It's long past time to get tougher on lawbreakers, are you fed up with government endorsed lawlessness yet? Are you mad that lawbreakers get treated like innocent angels while law abiding citizens get punished for defending themselves and their property? Vote for Trump and vote Republican all the way down ballot, it's the only chance we have of turning this state around. Signed, a very disgruntled former Democrat.
@gypo_gault Says:
Give her what she's asked for internet
