Finally, someone speaking the facts...when we tried to speak at the various meetings with the truth and reconciliation committees throughout the country about the success stories that came out of residential schools we were told to be quiet ..our fathers begged the authorities to take the kids away from the reserves to save us. we went on to the schools that were available to us and the people in power at the time were forced to save us from ourselves. we learned to function as human beings for the first time in our lives at these schools and look at the pictures. do you see anyone unhappy? no you don't...for the first time in our lives we had proper clothes to wear, food to eat on a regular basis, clean beds, clean rooms, bathrooms, eating utensils, tooth brushes, health care. games to play for the first time in our lives. or don't get me wrong but for the first time in our lives we had 3 meals a day and a proper education. a few died in route to the schools and were buried in a graveyard and over time some of these grave yards started to look like a dump and they pleaded with those who were in authority to clean them up but not any were ever forgotten. look at the pictures and tell me if you see anyone not smiling for the first time in their lives. No one wants to hear the success stories...they only want to hear the lies being spread by those wanting money out of the supposedly crimes that were never committed. I remember asking my father why they were taken us to these schools and we were told that was the only places available for natives that was acceptable and already in place. no other institutions were capable of taking in as many that were needed and these places were already established for us. we was at the time a perfect place to learn and live a healthy lifestyle ...we met and made a lot of friends while in these schools and some of us went on to be successful in our careers. some made a good name for themselves. some didn't...some went on to become alcoholics and started blaming anyone for their misgivings. its time people heard the truth once and for all...

My dad was in resedential school he said that every couple of daysa new kid would show up often severely abused on the rez they came from some with broken arms that were never fixed and more often then not the kids were severely malnourished or severely sick. Also, these kids would sometimes die and more often then not nobody would come to claim the body, the parents or band didnt care enough. In rhese cases the children were respectively buried on site. After 11 yrs of working in remote NW & SW with five distinct Nations I know wtf happened to the ones that survived and the generations that followed- as a Residential School counsellor. I heard first hand, I saw the body & facial language, the bottomed out life within those coping by drinking and also the outcomes of survivors repeating the sexual abuse of children that they experienced! It’s so disgusting & I was furious with our 2020-2024 lockdowns & VAXX threats & FORCING! I’d not realized how they never got Human Rights & still suffer greatly as each one’s seeks healing! ❤️🩹
