I was protesting the TDSB 30 years ago along with 100 parents.(The Toronto Star covered the 5 anti-protesters.) The Board brought in policy allowing them to refer children to councillors off school grounds and bring them back without parent's knowledge or permission. This was the beginning of the sabotage of parents rights to make decisions on behalf of their children. At that time they brought in horrible smut literature with foul language and instructions in choking and electrically shocking your sexual partner. Boys died hanging themselves as a result of this. That is when they had to remove cloth towel racks to prevent boys from playing what the media called a "black out game"; erotic asphyxiation.
