The Office doesn’t need a reboot. It’s fine the way it is, and it went on long enough. That would be like rebooting Trailer Park Boys and making it woke. Instead of doing reboots, why not take inspiration from an IP and do something original? I know the answer. It’s because they don’t want to make something of quality and value, nor do they want to serve an audience. They want to ruin western culture and demoralize all who oppose them. I think a big issue here is that it looks almost like a shot-for-shot remake of The Office, like even down to some of the lines. There’s no originality. If they wanted to make it centered around women, there would’ve been a way to do it that’s actually funny and speaks to something real. Maybe they could’ve made it about a women-led nonprofit or something, and show the levels of dysfunction that could exist there. Real comedy works when it’s based on something true, or could be real, or at the very least you need some witty wordplay in there.
