@soxrphie Says:
Sue the OLG and stop buying those rip-off tickets. They are part of this corrupt compromised government .
@michaelkiely Says:
every ticket is dated and has the retailers idea on the ticket they are criminals and have no shame.
@michaelkiely Says:
These entitled public sector workers would steal from their own mothers in Alberta they already give you a receipt as they hate the lotterys theft of winnings they need fired for what they have already done.
@timfarry7071 Says:
I get it why they want this, you could lose your ticket and anyone could find it and claim it. However, if you do what you are SUPPOSED to do once you purchase the ticket, SIGN it, and then it is yours. Nobody can dispute it if your signature is on it. If you don't sign it, lose it, and someone else signs it, too bad - you didn't "claim" it when you bought it. Unless you buy tickets regularly from the same place, one could be excused for not remembering where they bought it. It should suffice to say "either here or there in xxx city" since you may have bought it at any of those locations.
@michelle4959 Says:
So why does this information already be put on ticket.
If you have signed and filled out the information your ticket is yours then I can't see the problem.
Why is that on back of ticket.
We don't have this problem in quebec.
@MikeJohnson-o2p Says:
I travel all over Alberta and purchase tickets from many different stores. I have never once thought of having to remember where each ticket came from! unbelievable. Good job Rebel Media!
@ScriptureShores Says:
1:50 Nobody but David Menzies was being recorded before the woman stepped in! This is ridiculous.
@Elmapachito33 Says:
OLG needs to be investigated!

@uwuloluwu Says:
Love the extra number on lotto max because we wanted it too decrease our odds 😂😂😂😂
@24theMoney Says:
Rebel news...some OLG lottery winning numbers are picked "randomly" by comouter. Someone needs to investigate this process, since OLG has all the numbers in a database before they "draw" the winning numbers.
@24theMoney Says:
Menzies is da man
@my3dviews Says:
Didn't know that was a thing, that you had to know where you bought the ticket. What if you bought several tickets at several locations? Would you need to know where you bought each individual ticket, in case one wins? Sounds like an excuse to keep your money.
@dt8460 Says:
I buy tickets wherever thats a joke
I have no idea when or where
People buy tickets wherever
@Gregory-o6v Says:
If you hold the receipt that matches the ticket, you are the lawful owner of the ticket.
@kirkkoershuis6773 Says:
The entire Canadian lottery is a scam on the people. The grand prizes are never given away. Research it. They keep it all and they don’t talk about where the money ever goes.
@craig9921 Says:
Kinda Like the investigation on 9 billion going to friends and family of OLG that disappeared years ago
@johnnycroat Says:
they should then have a sign in the stores that you must remember where you purchased or you must purchase from the same store
@titanmma101 Says:
A tax on the stupid.
@suzanneeckstein13 Says:
Thank you for helping this lady
@huntingupland Says:
It doesn’t matter where the person bought the ticket. If it’s in their possession and their names on the ticket they get the prize.
@urbanmacdonald7901 Says:
Look real reporting by stand up honorable man looking for truth. Not bought and paid for by communist government
@disastergarage4261 Says:
disgusting !!!!!! that so wrong
@AndySemite-eq7cv Says:
Dave has covered the OLG before, as well as the LCBO, both corrupt AF. Here in Alberta our gambling, liquor and cannabis all fall under one bureaucracy and we have nothing to report on. Ontario is screwed up and i regret not leaving in 1980 never to return.
@user-vr2tx4tt6b Says:
Remember when lotteries were deemed immoral at the turn of the century because the money made was being corruptly distributed?
The OLG needs an audit of it's practices.
@shirleytamburano6256 Says:
And how is it that week after week, 1st & 2nd prizes are for the most part 0 winners? Seems to me with all the tickets sold those prizes would be won a bit more often. Looks awfully suspish, no?
@Heidi_137 Says:
I rarely buy lottery tickets, I do for gifts sometimes and I once had a person at a store telling me to keep the receipt because it's needed if win over 1K happens. I was very surprised! I guess the clerk was right about this. Wow!
@MrCulblu Says:
David you are awesome. Always enjoy your news. You deal with everything well.
@1967MGC Says:
Ontario Lottery Gimmick. Play to lose.
@normbrinkman Says:
Olg can dry up and blow away as far as I'm concerned . I haven't bought a ticket since the 90s ...think of the money I've saved .🤣😉
@JohnSietsma-tr3wo Says:
I suggest you take a picture with your cellphone every time you buy a lottery ticket. Picture of ticket, which store and where and date.
@Detektivmadchen Says:
What bs!! What if the ticket was a gift? The OLG has to know off the ticket where it was bought because doesn’t the vendor get a reward for selling the ticket? If you have the ticket you should get the prize.
@petertod4836 Says:
The reason they are so dishonest and not transparent is because these lotteries are run by bureaucrats and bureaucrats like to make up their own rules don’t like to follow them and don’t like to see citizens get prizes without jumping through hoops. Fuck bureaucrats
@kpfeiffer8775 Says:
its simply corporate corruption ! did everyone forget, that Trudeau gave banks the right to ceize your funds if they are in trouble and allow lotteries not to pay if said province had high debts ! so why does this shock anyone ?
@crashweekly7925 Says:
If I ever get the chance to win a large enough jackpot and they try to deny me I am for sure lawyering up! I have paid enough into the lottery over the years to deserve what I won.
@OttoByOgraffey Says:

@BloodyBamPot Says:
Why are they abusing their authority? They are the Canadian government. Canada is full of saps. Any other questions lol
@clifflayne9073 Says:
You're worried about $1003.00 prize at the OLC? Try getting them to answer these questions, even through a Freedom of Information request. 1) how many times, since the beginning of the draw have people won the max. prize by choosing the numbers themselves vs having the machine choose the numbers for you through quick pick? 2) how many times, since the beginning of the draw, has the top max. prize been awarded to an individual who was actually a member of a buying corporation? 3) why, if the odds for winning the top prize is the same as the odds for winning a MaxMillions prize, approx. 33,500,000 to one; that even though there were two winners for the grand prize, their odds being 16,750,000 to one; but 12 out of 24 numbers selected for the MaxMillions prizes were winners, a winning percentage of 50%.
@gregoryforrest8970 Says:
Generally the retailer id numbers are printed on the ticket, so if this is the case the person needs to write not just their name and address but the store and location on their ticket. However the retailer id numbers are on the ticket if it wasn't how does the retailer get its share for selling a large prize? Not only is it virtually impossible to win much of anything from the lottery that pulls in absolute billions and billions with these lotteries but once you finally win after spending a lifetime of money on these useless lottery.
@Srt71972 Says:
$80 Million, 2 winners. What a scam. They need to go back and televise the draws live. Remember the little balls that bounced inside a clear dome and 1 ball would come out at a time? Why have you stopped doing that? ….. so you can control how much the pot will go up to and determine where and how many winners there will be. Audit them 100% crooks.
@jimreedyk5158 Says:
its outrageous that you have to do a skill testing question as well to get your prize money if its a big jack pot
@kniggaplease Says:
Grew up watching my parents play - everyday! Maybe a couple hundred at most in winnings at a time and seldom at that lol
@MrMusic0408 Says:
thats the government for us, abuse of power position...
@orangechev79 Says:
Good. That way if someone steals your tickets they can't collect the payday.
@capitanocorelli1781 Says:
Considering the lottery tickets are essentially like bearer bonds. This woman's ticket is gold. The place of purchase is essentially irrelevant. In the guise of protecting a possible original buyer they are renegging on their obligation to pay out.
@jackbauer7613 Says:
Tickets has the date and time and store kiosk number on the ticket. When you buy a ticket write down the store name and address on the back. Or better yet ASK for the receipt. Congrats to all the winners!
@VeronicaPalozzi Says:
They need to be held accountable and audited!! Billions of dollars are spent by citizens to enter !!
