My net annually is nearly 30k less than my gross. It's disgusting to think that the government is "letting" me have less than 1k back when I do my income taxes. If people only knew how much they really made vs. what they keep...they might actually quit paying taxes. And to think that the our split from England was motivated over 2% tax from the king.
