I spent too much of my time looking on city of yeg website, contacted Red Cross, 311, 211, and a few other organizations... all they said was send money. Salv. Army local said first $40 of clothing purchase was free to survivors (then the rest was normal priced)
I normally give a bag or two of clothes to SallyAnn every year around now, but wanted my perfectly under used clothes to go straight to survivors this year, Seems there’s nothing set up for that, most replies told me.
So they all expect the survivors to take the free money and buy new, full priced, TAXABLE clothes... instead of freely given, NO MONEY AND NO TAXATION NEEDED donated clothes?? So this is where this grubby commie country has sunk to? Govts and agencies wanting their cut on every tragedy now?

Yes the parks could of done better but you don’t seem to see the amount of red tape there was. Also you can not blame everything on climate change….which this was not…..That is a hoax and has made many people richer by promoting it. My family have a few fire fighters and there is much they are not able to say….more red tape. As for your view on Smith, you have a right to it but I disagree. I've been wondering what's going on in Canada for the last 2 years. I live not too far south of Lake Superior in the U.P of Michigan and smoke has been out on the horizon here on all directions and it has to be coming from Canada. If it is this visible here I can't imagine what it is like up there. Besides visibly seeing smoky haze I can smell it somewhat too, some days more so than others. It also causes lots of allergies that otherwise would not keep recurring.There are people by me that refuse to acknowledge what their senses should be telling them saying its just some kind of fog because they don't see it reported on msm. 🤦♀️

The people of Jasper can blame the cause of this wildfire on poor forestry management all they want. In fact, it is nothing more than a scapegoat for this issue. Parks Canada should have done a Controlled Burn to incinerate the dead brush. However few people remember that it was a controlled burn last year that started last years wildfire. From my memory, that particular controlled burn originated at Banff National Park.
Let's talk about the true cause of how this wildfire became what it was. The effects of Climate Change. It may be time to take the matter seriously and address this issue now. To be honest, it maybe Too little; too late to act. Nobody wants to talk about that at all at all. The Fort Mac wildfires of 2016 should have been a wake-up call to take this matter seriously. Rebel News, are clear deniers of Climate Change and its effects that it causes.
Danielle Smith is an absolute Climate Change denier, Her policies are a clear reflection of that. The Oil & Gas industry is the promoter of this. Smith put a 1 year hold on any Green Technology to employ to address any power issues. She put strict restrictions on locations where they can be placed (Out of Sight; out of mind!). She is willing to spend Billions of dollars on Carbon Capture technology (Window-dressing). She called for the Federal Environment minister employment to be terminated because the federal government is taking this seriously.
