I agree and disagree with cenk here we can't let politics be to hard. I love disagreeing and shouting, until I don't! And when I don't it's not because I don't have more to say it's because we are both exhausted! And if you are bringing shit into special days that makes me more exhausted F...right off! This isn't beers in a bar, thanksgiving or christmas where you can disagree but deep down you want to meet! But on a wedding, funeral or special birthday we want to do anything to remove any and all drama.
@kjhuang Says:
Remember those memes (usually spread by woke activists) that if you don't care about politics or don't want to hear about it, you're privileged and committing some kind of violence against marginalized groups?
@darkfox172 Says:
Politics is everyday for everyone, to ignore it you just dont care about yourself or others
@starshake8998 Says:
LOL, good luck with that! 😉
@Battle_Hippos11 Says:
Honestly the signs make me want to talk about it more. I am waiting till a non-election year for my wedding. The only person I worry about is my dad and I have already warned my brides maids and grooms men to keep him straight and narrow. And if he steps out of line he's out.
@EricK-vs5vl Says:
Ummm elope? 😂😂 it’s their special day until they get divorced a few years later lol what’s the divorce rate now? 🤣🤣🤣
@EricK-vs5vl Says:
Ummm elope? 😂😂
@EndPoliticalCorruption Says:
It's not so much about differing opinions. It's about _how_ people engage during disagreements. Problems arise when it devolves into personal attacks. And if you have family members who "argue" this way, then it is a real problem.
@Sarah-tg2nk Says:
It is shown that conservatives care bout similar economic issues as liberals. The most impactful thing you can do is try to talk to your conspiracy theorist family member to try and soften their views. There are obvious exceptions when that family member puts you in danger, but talking to your crazy family/community member is better than hounding your favorite e-celeb to support Gaza. This is why there is no change in this country.
@April_ONeil Says:
you want to talk politics? $1,000.00 and then you can.
@April_ONeil Says:
ban people. do you really need them? No, you don't.
@bonbonvegabon Says:
Well, you should be banning alcohol at that wedding too. Thats half the battle when it comes to political arguments.
@dannyboy3658 Says:
More Cenky videos… 😂🤡
@roxannaonuwa187 Says:
It is personal. I respect other's views, but I won't be verbally attacked by anyone. They have animosity toward me, that's fine, we don't have to talk.
@JohnSaucier Says:
It's simple, and people really need to be reminded of it, but politics are values. I can determine the kind of person I am dealing with simply by how they politically lean. I'm sorry to say but if you are voting for Trump you are an awful human being. Why would you want to invite awful human beings to something you want to be a joyous day? And for people that think it's hyperbole. Trump and the Republican Party have made it clear what kind of politics they believe in and, thus what their values are.
They don't care about the young, the poor, the elderly, veterans, the disabled, the homeless, etc. They care about one thing, the almighty dollar. And if you base your values around money, I know exactly the kind of person you are, and you don't belong with the normal people who care about their fellow humans. You should be shamed and ostracized until you never leave your house or offer up anything even resembling an opinion, until you grow up and act like a normal caring human with an attached brain in your skull.
At this point, I'm just sick of hearing opinions offered up by idiots whose morals and values are the antithesis of Jesus Christ, yet pretend to be a devoted follower of Christianity. I'd rather they be seated at the kiddy table where they are told to shut the hell up, because all of the adults are sick of hearing their nonsense.
@lostexplorersguild767 Says:
Politics have never ruined any wedding, or any event for that matter. It’s emotional immaturity that could potentially cause issues. The topic is irrelevant. How people conduct themselves (their emotions) is what matters. Some (perhaps most) people are just inexperienced with emotions.
@kalikeleka Says:
NORMAL people have no problem avoiding political discussions in social situations. NORMAL people do not let politics dominate their life. NORMAL people were raised that you do not talk politics, religion, sex, or money in polite company. If you cannot go for the duration of a wedding and reception without talking politics, there is something seriously wrong with you. Nobody should have to put up 'Politics Free Zone' signs at their wedding.
@Sarai_Anna_bornagain Says:
Cenk you’re right. This is destroying the fabric of our communities, friendships and families!
@timolaf2798 Says:
You should invite people that you want at you wedding, and not invite anyone you don't want there. Simple. (Probably easier said than done, but that make sense to me.)
@magoo9279 Says:
Just don't invite crazy people to your wedding.
@johnr3546 Says:
Easy, don't have conservative friends , and don't invite any republican relatives .
@mattwolf7698 Says:
It depends on how extreme they are, if they just simply like Trumps financial plans and agree with him on immigration (which the left has also been going more right on) and wants some abortion restrictions and stuff like that, I might not agree on everything but I could tolerate it for s short time.
Now if you had someone who was straight up racist and homophobic, absolutely not especially if I had other firends for family there who were those minorities.
Now imagine if it was a gay or mixed race wedding, I absolutely wouldn't want those people there. Though why would they come in the first place then? Some people just get so mad when it comes to their own family that they like to start shit and think they can change your mind, yeah I wouldn't invite anybody very right of center to one of those.
@johnmiranda2307 Says:
Politics FREE???
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@TyeDellOro Says:
Hey I support your channel, but you appear to be a white, straight guy…so of course you don’t understand “it’s personal”. When someone fundamentally goes against who u are, blood or not, u are X-ed.
@daveadam435 Says:
Well its bound to be leftists who can't keep their mouths shut ..
@Stephanpar23 Says:
Politics is a sensitive topic.....to white folks and their adjacents.
Talk to black and brown folks about politics.
It rarely gets contentious because there is honesty on things like racism and economy.
@juliecarlton6910 Says:
I disagree with Cenk. It's not just policy people disagree with. This election is about core values. I wouldn't want a racist homophobic person at my wedding. Honestly if you support Trump then you support those horrible world views. I wish it was just a disagreement on how they want to find the military or whatever but it's not. It's way deeper than that
@krobbins8395 Says:
Um they already have split families for several years. I got a divorce over it. You just can't have a positive life experience living in a toxic environment. I hope it helps them enjoy their wedding.
@tylerprince3496 Says:
I think it's perfectly fine to ban family and friends who are going to show up and argue about politics at someone's wedding. Weddings don't need to be "perfect" but they should be fun and Trump supporters usually go too far, my dad is one so I know how those arguments go.
@ubaldoarias5653 Says:
Cenk's comeback at the end is 1-A 😆
@mmack2627 Says:
YOUNG TURKS ARE FULL OF SHIT
@masonkanterbury3007 Says:
I see this every day. It's just not cool to talk politics anymore.
@ConsciencepartyUSA Says:
The tip jar is just basically The swearing jar. For every word that you mention, while talking about politics, you have to put money in that jar so cenk you better have like over millions of dollars if you’re wanting to continue to talk about politics the whole entire time during the wedding. 😆
@themandalorian9009 Says:
Me and my wife are Libertarian. But due to us not being able to afford anything and the current state of the country, Weve decided to vote red. Because common sense and logic, Not emotions.
@catt3911 Says:
She’s not wrong. Weddings are expensive, but her implementation is dumb.
@catt3911 Says:
She’s not wrong. Weddings are expensive, but her implementation is dumb.
@therottenapplepk8881 Says:
Well politic talk and Alcohol don't mix well😅 idk a lot of people are selfish as hell and will ruin people's wedding over political view
@ni7299 Says:
Tip jar isn’t going to keep someone from getting all spun up and ready to scream and kick.
Actually you know what, just elope FFS what the hell do these people being there mean to your marriage? Zero
@JabberCT Says:
She wants to enjoy her wedding, I get it. But making a 4th Reich wedding to remove free speech is going to make everyone on edge. People are going to be eavesdropping on every "hello" to see if it turns political. I would choose to stay home. I don't like going to weddings in the first place, let alone one with strict rules on communication.
@russellobrien6441 Says:
The tip jar is the neoliberal way. Tax the negative externality!
@DrPhill96 Says:
No Cult46ers at my events or in my life. I’ve voted red and blue before.
@brenr148 Says:
Just tell trump supporters, life’s tough get a helmet
@truthseeker8139 Says:
I go to weddings to talk about trans rights
@antclerfont8478 Says:
I mean nowadays marriage couples have a right to even CHARGE for a seat at a wedding
@lenkacfk7155 Says:
So the RSVPs include a box where you can fill in your political affiliation, so you'll be seated on the right side of the aisle. 😂 It's His and Hers, but for Trump and Harris.
@adamhawn2523 Says:
Or maybe don’t set the date for right before the election 😂
@adamhawn2523 Says:
Easy. Don’t invite stupid trump supporters to your wedding.
@fightwithonefilms Says:
You go to a party wedding whatever, just don't be an asshole. Is that so hard
@coryluke12 Says:
My girl will vote Trump, or it’s no more mansion life for her.
