I wish that young lady a happy and whole life…good luck to her and the dreams of many like her

Absolutely 10/10 for literacy skills in using the term "By Accident" instead of the fury inducing 3yr olds term "on accident". It’s a small detail that most will just brush over, but its the little things like that which make the big differences. Awesome content, keep it up. 👍🏽

I imagine she was attacked at street and that's how she realized boxing by accident

It's easy to disassociate from these type of issues in places of comfort but we really are in the same boat and if we allow the system to hurt any one person then it can hurt anyone.

This channel is democratic propaganda
@corrieworou4813 Says:
She should be fighting for Britian if thats the country shes living in. Watch any non-western country let her compete as a "refugee"
@richardtyler6472 Says:
There’s 120,000,000 refugees?! That’s so fugged. 😑

I know this is a short and not a full video, but the fact that she was persecuted because she is queer should have been mentioned, I think. It’s easy to overlook/forget about countries where it’s still legal to persecute LGBTQ people.

Honestly needs more details cause if she did this while living in refugees tents barely surviving it be inspiring. But if she was living a decent lifestyle like any other athlete and had some financial support to allow her to focus on this then it honestly isn’t that much different then other athletes who r not refugees except that she got lucky and flee her horrible country. Not hating on her but it’s about the optics and creating a truthful story. Ur average person is gonna think of a refugee as being practically homeless or barely surviving. But if she wasn’t like that then it’s disingenuous to her accomplishment and actually detracts from it making her look more Inspiring then she actually is. It’s great what she’s done but it should be told in detail so false hope isn’t made 🐱
@stanman9125 Says:
Brings tears to my eyes, there shouldn't be any refugees or any people who are displaced in the world.
@dragonamaranthine3942 Says:
... Why is there an refugee team? Where is the nation of refugia? International competition is the entire point of the Olympics.
No offense to her, not saying she didn't deserve the medal, but she was on a team that shouldn't exist.
@benyaeast4741 Says:
I have been displaced from iran when I was 16 and now I’m 32! I live in Germany but grew up in Australia! I have also lived in Malaysia and went to Australia on a boat lol I have met so many lovely people around the world! I no longer think I’m from iran but I’m from earth! This won’t happen in our lifetime but I have had a slight taste of pure prosperity and peace and my best memories are with people from different countries! It’s so nice to see all these different cultures on earth and live among them and yet politics and war are deciding for humanity! Just bunch of old dudes in suits that have issues with each other!

@KevinTheRheaFromHell Says:
Genuine question: How can someone who doesn’t compete for a country win a national championship?
@davidbaker8634 Says:
This is great, but it is also worth noting that she _wanted_ to represent team GB, and team GB wanted her too. It didnt work out for bureaucratic reasons.
She is an inspiration regardless 😅
@donaldlee8249 Says:
She should just represent Britain honestly. Britain gave her the chance of boxing and everything else
