Underbrush was burnt or removed dead trees were removed fire breaks were maintained and the biggie forests were thinned just like the Indians used to look after them to make it easier to hunt, but under Castro that's bad as well.

If it’s anything like California and it’s getting close, most of the forest fires are arson. A few more our campfire problems or mistakes and maybe one or two might be from lightning. In California sometimes they start fires with powerlines, but who’s watching.
