The only thing I could use some help understanding is how someone knows someone is Indian just based on their appearance? Like I mean how do they know that these individuals are not Pakistani or from another country where the ethnicity/race of its people look very similar. I am not talking about determining their nationality based on accent, clothing, facial hair, headdress/headgear, religion etc. but from a distance without knowing or speaking to the person, or even from a brief conversation? I think that is the only thing that is somewhat racist, although it wouldn't be racism based on someones country and I hate that those two things are often used interchangeably. Like if someone is prejudice towards Canadians, how could that be rasism if there are countless different races and ethnicities in Canada? I am genuinely curious about this so if anyone can provide some clarity it would be very much appreciated.
