I am Irish and I have a relative who was denied permission to build a family home on her parents farm land out in the quiet countryside because it would "increase the traffic" on that sleepy country road, despite the fact that all neighbors would be delighted to see her build, her parents are elderly, her father has a long term terminal illness and she herself is a nurse who could help look after him, and she has a young family who are denied the right to grow up beside their grandparents, yet it's ok for over 200 fighting age foreign men to be landed on a small village against the villagers wishes.
