No it doesn't. Crypto Currency is backed by nothing but it's percieved value of trade, and the government wants to leverage it and own it to track everything you do, or sto0 transactions they don't approve of.
The freezing of bank accounts shows that if you don't hold it, you don't own it, and you don't get the freedom to decide what you can do with it.
Cash is also backed by nothing, since 1973.
Gold and silver for freedom.
If the government can't trust you to spend your money as you see fit, why should we ever trust the government with managing the public purse????
