I worked for the public school system in New York City as maintenance and janitor. I was told to train people of color that had no idea of what was going on I had been there for 6 years and the people that I trained were actually promoted above me. I was left to rot while these persons of color (some of whom could barely speak English) wound up becoming my supervisors while I had many more years of experience and exemplary attendance and work reviews.
I was basically told that if I had anything to complain about this obvious inequality and blatant racist policy that I would be harshly dealt with, labeled as a racist and that I should shut up and not Rock the boat if I valued my career and pension

I cannot remember the last time I saw a white bus driver or a white train conductor on the MTA in New York City. They just don't exist. There were major advertisements to enroll for the police department for the MTA and for a vast number of jobs for the city and government yet none of the pictures ever included a white face, male or female. If this was going the other way there would be marches with signs violence and rioting going on for miles and miles and miles.
