What he got was too fair, he definitely deserved more.
Theres a level of disrespect anyone can't tolerate. They have always insulted the president but he has never reacted.
The english subtitles sounded so formal. If you know Luganda, you'd know that the kind of disrespect that young boy rendered was un imaginable!!!!
You can never speak those words in public because they are so bad, people dont speak such words, you dont even speak such things to your enemy.
The youth need to learn that actions have consequences and that nobody is above the law.

Bro there is respect and there is respect but these are not the things you will do in black africka although in some ways he's right to speak about the taxes but he could have done that without a personal attack but should have been cautioned but the next time their would be no mercy about the jail but again in the case of homosexuality i am for the president we cannot allow people like Bobby who is a sellout to get in

This man is intelligent and put down by cursing the intended target so capably he was jailed. In America, we call that," playing the dozens," talking about someone. " You're Mama's so fat." That sort of thing.
Looks like he's asking for.the government to do for him what they can't do for themselves. Ebrahim Traori would have handled it differently. We , tried n America throw a lot of young people in jail , but here it's for profit. This man's seeking opportunity and hope. Same as here in America.
@Dee-pj7hh Says:
You may not like your government; but you need to respect the office. If respect is broken down it will create chaos in the social structure of that country, including the breakdown of morals. I see some of this creeping into Jamaica also. Look at the western countries, there is no respect for any political officials; and so there is chaos and clear break down of morals. Your correct Zack. That young man should have spoken on policy, corruption, unfinished projects or lack of job creation; but instead he went personal.
@Tulipman1 Says:

@georgepauls6261 Says:
As a ugandan, this time that was to much, insulting the whole family and using obscene words. I disagree with that. There are words that can be used but not his.
@watersoilsun847 Says:
If this man has no power no control, no prospects, not heard it leads to emotions. We now have tik tok etc so feelings can be expressed, if your angry, frustrated things don't always come out the way they should. Six years is a long time, when the President makes a serious mistake what have been his penalties.

@gimiko1061 Says:
The corrupt Ugandan president does not respect the Uganda constitution in the first place. The boy has the right to voice his frustration. The young fellow lives in abject poverty while Museveni's family enjoys life at the Ugandans expenses.
How come someone has been the president of a country since 1986 and there are no social programs in the country for the vulnerable citizens?
This boy is a hero and Ugandans have to celebrate his bravery every month on social media.
Uganda is being governed as a family enterprise.
I totally support this young fellow.
Being the president of a country means you have to deliver basic services to citizens to transform their lives to better. The office of the president is a public office. Any Ugandan has the right to criticise it.
Zack do not mix respect with leadership. A good leadership makes citizens respect their leaders. Why should I respect a thief who is looting my country coffers for his own benefit, and I am left in slum to die like a dog in poverty?
@alshatrihakimushamavu7433 Says:

HELLO ZACK MWEKASSA ENGLISH CHANNEL FAMILY. IT IS A SHAME WHEN A GROWN MAN BEATS DOWN ON CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE. NO MAN WORTH HIS SALT WOULD RETALIATE AGAINST WORDS FROM A CHILD OR JUST ANGRY YOUNG PEOPLE. OVERBOARD REACTIONS USUALLY INSINUATES THAT THERE IS A MATTER OF TRUTH TO WHATEVER HAS BEEN SAID. OVER REACTING TO MEER WORDS ARE EXACTLY THE RESPONSES WHICH WILL TRIGGER UPRISINGS IN UGANDAN STREETS AND ELSEWHERE. CHANGE YOUR DICTATORSHIP WAYS LEADERS OF AFRICA OR YOU WILL HAVE NO ONE ELSE TO BLAME AS YOUR PEOPLE DEMAND THAT THEIR LEADERS WORK FOR THEM "THE PEOPLE" NOT THE OPPOSITE.

As a Ugandan I believe Ugandan youth need to be taught how to go about airing their views bse insulting someone and their entire family is extreme I was in high school and someone insulted my brother I went for them with all I had but in Uganda even their comedians insult people and think it’s funny it’s away of bullying someone that’s cyber bullying let’s not bring politics in this as the young man didn’t mention anything political but rather insults

@ubaachieng4668 Says:
Africa has a culture of respect, you must respect the elders. What happens when the elders continuosly behave in a manner that is not respectable. I think part of the reason we were easily colonized was because of being silent, and respecting, leaders, who were generally elderly, even when they were deserving of scorn.

I hope he gets pardoned
@DavidBlancChanteur Says:
Well he was disrespectful , and it came to the attention of the government , and they could find him , lastly It's Africa .
@youdontknowjoejo Says:
There's a big difference between a teen mocking the president and comparing his current government to a totalitarian government and political parties being funded by the west right after a popular regime change. One of Africa's biggest problem is how we blindly respect our elders. Although elder respect is traditional in many native African cultures, the context was that the elders were supposed to lead and guide us in return for that respect, respect still had to be earned. Something this current generation of African elders are failing to do. There are many traditional things Africans no longer do, so respecting elders just out of tradition is a cop out.
