If they're citizens they should fight for their country, if they are just students then no. But from what I got is that, most of the people who are fighting there have been paid to fight in the war.

Most of them were rescued by Russia and offered and asked if they wanted to go home or study in Russia. Most chose to go home as they were uncertain and still frightened. Others requested to go home and be allowed to come back. Russia accepted those who accepted the offer. It wasn't only Africans but many Indians and others from different countries.
