He's from an era of producing great films with the right talent....he is so spot on! Creating movies is an art and it's commerce, liberals just can't stand the heat of facts hitting them!

Wrong. I took Civics in the fall of 1980 while in ninth grade. Mark Kelly was the teacher - a good man.

I didn't get to meet him, but Dreyfuss recently came to Dallas for the Fan Expo. They also did a Jaws screening. Celebrities are people, just like the rest of us. And they have beliefs and opinions that we may or may not agree with. Any fans will have to reconcile that with their fandom. Can you still enjoy watching an actor and their expertise at that art, even if you don't share, say, their political views? In any case, he seems like a cool dude that I have at least some shared opinions with. And, of course, he's been in some movies I really like, and he's a great actor. Maybe I'll meet him the next time he comes to Dallas.

I'm from SoCal originally, and I'm a Barber. The majority of shops in that area these days are owned by Mexican guys. I can't think of a single one who wouldn't hire a more capable non latino than someone else who's more qualified. Not a Single One!

I am not bothered by anything he said I would like to know why it was controversial he was scoring points for freedom of speech or is that no longer a concept liberals endorse.

Great job, Mr. Dreyfuss!

He is right how the schools have corrupted history by leaving out so much in order to control the narrative. I was shocked when I just learned about Barbary slavery five years ago in my 40’s after going back to college and by chance reading a book for a research project. It makes people seem that whites are worse than other peoples when actually these things happened first to them for many more years and by Africans of Ottoman Empire. Why is only one story given? There is a purpose to divide by the teachers union it seems
@FrankGlover-k9b Says:
Nobody said a damn thing when the wayans brothers did white face in the movie white chiks. If its offensive to one race then its offensive to all races. Why did the wayans get a pass? Because they are black thats why

@unmalo2768 Says:
Richard Dreyfuss is a true patriot! He is a Constitutionalist and is very much an American hero!
@andykaufman7620 Says:
Taika Waititi played Adolf HItler and was wearing WHITE FACE and if Black Face is bad, evil, wrong, so is wearing White Face. So yes Richard Dryfus should be able to play a Black Man or how about a Polynesian or person from India like the role of Gandhi. Plus Key and Peel has a video in Rap Battles where Key plays Gandhi and he is Black NOT someone who is from Indian subcontinent's Dravidian culture. No, a black man cannot play a brown man if a white man cannot play a black man or a black woman for that matter. If one is wrong, all are wrong. I have stated I want to play Shaka Zulu as a white man, and be treated in real life by the black and W-oke access media as if I am the 'blackest man alive' so they treat me with the same reverse other legendary black actors are treated. Everyone on the set of the movie also must treat me like there is no other blacker person on planet Earth. I'm SHAKA ZULU. I am pure blackness, and a Black Zulu Supramacist. I would be well loved among the woman of the View, the Biden administration and Hollywood. If Dave Chappelle can play a white supramacists. A white man can play a black supramacist. Understand the British would be played by Chinese and perhaps some people from India, perhaps Taika Waititi can be in the movie as a British soldier, and the real question is should any of the Zulu be played by black actors or extras. OR should the whole Zulu Nation be white. The Zulu Nation and Africa Boombata will put out new songs glorifying the legend of Shaka Zulu. Anyone who claims that they are the White Zulu Nation will called Racist. and if they claim they are Albino black Africans, they will be mandated to undergo DEI diversity sensitivity training.
@andykaufman7620 Says:
The theater staff are a couple of Karens basically, possibly ladies who love the ladies, who don't like it when men wear dresses, but they themselves would not wear a dress as one of them, you can see is sporting the Flannel shirt and dresses like a Man, and perhaps both are, as one also has a backward pointing hat, often the way guys wear their hats, though females can technically do that, but generally, butch females do that, and straight guys. I'm sure there is an image of a girly guy doing that too, we could find some. Point is, they have the privilege of wearing what they want to wear, but Richard cannot. Have you seen the many oddball outfits out there, and crossdressing. If this is wrong, so is Harry Styles doing that same thing.

@rontyler1234 Says:
Real art confounds those rigidly locked within the limitations of their political theology and its attending worldview. In English, that means we've raised a generation of sour faced dullards, with few, if any, redeeming features. Kudos to Richard, one of our most talented actors , he has always been a fish swimming upstream.
@dlodge4966 Says:
Richard has been speaking out for a bit now of all what’s been going on in Hollywood and such.
@ForceMaximus84 Says:
Most of this sounds like jokes that people took too seriously, honestly. If you ever watched Dreyfuss in interviews, he’s dry and deprecating, including towards himself.
@urbanangst7630 Says:
I think the two helpers on stage were part of the act.
@sorshiaemms5959 Says:
Always liked Richard since American Graffiti a realistic movie always seemed logical
@1Gr8Editrix Says:
Interesting how so many liberal actors turn conservative in their older age.
@rockyvines8045 Says:
MORE POWER TO YOU, DREYFUSS! Now watch his own people, the Jews, try and cancel hìm over his harmless comments. Art is what it is, right or wrong. So also is the way someone feels about a subject matter. When you listen in detail and let them explain, it reveals the truth, either about the situation, or about them. Anything less is nothing more than taking sides.
@ozzieluvaya2202 Says:
I didnt fine anything richard dryfruss said or did that was offensive and the gentlemen at the end what he said was true art is an art. These people take things to far.

@AmandaC123 Says:
“The Women” 1939 and maybe even 2008 version, is a movie that was cast 100% women, and I think the only male in the cast was a baby boy at the end. “Stormy Weather” 1943 was an all Black cast. These films would have been denied their creative vision if they had racial or gender quotas. “The Party” 1968 had Peter Sellers in ‘brown face’ with an Indian accent but I consider it a hilarious movie with an endearing main character. Quotas in art are a dangerous slippery slope. What if you want to make a movie about building the Great Wall of China or a movie about the Hatfields and McCoys? Do you just stick a random person in the cast for a diversity quota?
@richardhunn9737 Says:
So, he went nuts? So? Is the big news that the dems are gonna run him for president?
