I think the main damage that happened during c0v1d was reduction of faith in science. Most of us know now that almost everything we were told by governments and scientists was a lie. It doesn't mean that all scientists lie all the time, but it does mean that some scientists lie some of the time - and therefore they can no longer be trusted unconditionally.
Regarding loneliness, I think the problem is that we have dramatically re-drawn one side of the relationship balance between the sexes and just assumed that the other side would balance itself automatically. That hasn't happened.
Consequently, we now have a very large number of men who would like a relationship with a woman, but have decided that it's no longer worth it. This in turn has led to a similar number of women becoming angry and resenting men.
It's a problem that won't be fixed as long as NGOs are making money from the situation. Erin Pizzey spoke about this at length.

Women are not interested in meeting ordinary men anymore - the men on their level. They're just not. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about. If a young man tries to talk to a woman, it's not just a risk: he is exposing himself to danger and why should he do that? Good video.
