Just watch what happens when the people that live in them, don’t take care of them because they have no value or interest in keeping them up.

If you are building some sort of affordable, subsidized housing system, you want to build it to last.

Not sure how it will really help homeless people in the long run, but it's still a better use than funding conflicts that have nothing to do with America.

I love this channel but 1 thing i dont like is that assumptions it make often. Like saying homeless dont even pay into the system. I was homeless for 8 months and worked full-time
@partydave1067 Says:
I am not an American, but I recongnise how messed up it is. People who work hard day after day being forced to pay for someone epse house, health and everything else is messed up
@JohnGalt539 Says:
It’s a money laundering scheme, governor allocates funds to his contractors who inflate prices, then awaits for kick backs, same with Ukraine and big guy.

Love how this guy really stretched tf out of the truth. Almost like he just hates the left for trying to help homeless people simply because they’re on the left.

Yeah like the $1.7 million bathroom in San Francisco that finally got donated by a company for free but still costs $1.2 million in paperwork and permits

@benharrison1069 Says:
People "claiming" to be "homeless" get a $1,000,000 apartment on the taxpayer's dollar and live there rent free. Next, the government/taxpayers are going to pay for the furniture, food, utilities, etc. for the "homeless." What is the government doing to help these "homeless" people to get their own jobs so that they can pay their own way? With all these subsidies by the taxpayers, why would anyone even try to work there? It's easier to remain "homeless."
@RONNIEJNZN Says:
how much of that is "disapperaing" into Benz's and yachts ?
@sol-hunter2332 Says:
That place will likely devolve into a den, or a walled city.
@martinwalsh6877 Says:
Give California back to Mexico. It’s a failure.
@formerevolutionist Says:
And in a few years those apartments are going to be trashed because they are full of the same people who have been trashing the streets.

I found out here in Scotland that we are sorting out new housing for Ukrainian refugees. I asked the person who worked there if its just for mothers and their kids but no its involves miltary aged working men. We leave our own on the streets or in overcrowded accommodations.

@piffdaddy420 Says:
this is why socialism is the worst thing ever because the government is the worst at managing money. they squander so much of it. if private sector was building this it probably would be 1/3 of the price. and why do homeless need this?! give them a room in a boarding house. they should be trying to do this as efficiently as possible. wtf is 123 apartments going to do for a problem like this?! this is terrible.
@wesleywesolowski3236 Says:

Wonderful. The homeless get a free place to charge their free phones and keep their free food refrigerated and hide their free needles. Actually it’s not free. We paid for all of it. Thanks for nothing Newsom.

You’ll be quite surprised just how beautiful and well equipped that affordable housing is at a very low price. A lot nicer than those of us who have to work for our housing.
@thomasdavenport8893 Says:
This is why corrupt politicians love a govt made problems. They allocate funds to the problem and fill their pockets with said funds. Reduce the size of the govt, reduce the problem. Homelessness has nothing to do with houses and everything to do with mental health.
@spritemanplus4700 Says:
It doesn’t cost $1,000,00 per unit it’s probably $100,000 at most and whoever’s corrupt ass is in charge of this is pocketing the rest
@figdickmun Says:
Within a year the apartments will be trashed. Within ten years they'll be proposing the apartments be torn down to try something else.
@dcriket9 Says:
They could have built a couple of Quonset huts and said they were done.
@AKAFringe Says:

@MyIOnU Says:
1M is the price, but the actual cost is way lower than that. The rest of the money go into their own pockets.
