Honestly, I agree what Harvey did was an awful thing. I'm glad that we're in a different time where these acts would be considered criminal, rather than glossed over and treated as some acceptable transaction. It was coercion, it was not consent.. These should have been separate cases, each and every one. I have to agree with the judge that on a *celebrity* trial of all things, allowing dozens of testimony for different charges to shotgun the defendant while they're already defending against the first few is somewhat insane to try and defend against. Especially since most of these accusations were accepted with little to no evidence. Practically, I understand that some of these people would never have brought cases against Weinstein otherwise, and lacked the financial resources to pursue him or his lawyers on his own.. Legally, I can see how this same strategy could be used against an innocent person and how that would be unfair for an innocent person. I really don't know what to say. I hope the good lord dishes out a punishment fitting for him.

If Wienstein was innocent, Hollywood would come out in his defense, but it did not, so therefore there's gotta be a lot of credibility to the charges.

Cosby was overturned...why are we shocked about Harvey..C'mon man
@tedjohnson7485 Says:
The reason his one case was overturned was the judge screwed up bad. Judges need to be held accountable when they break the law during their cases.

Actresses traded their bodies for movie roles. Is regret considered rape? I can see sexual harassment.
@thebionicbassplayer Says:
Let him stay in prison. He earned it. Anyone who would fight to free him is complicit with his crimes.

That Bill Cosby joke was very off-putting.
@oneenigma4u Says:
I seriously do not. Like how our legal system allows a woman whose feelings are hurt , because somebody hit it and quit it, be able to turn that into a rape charge.
@oneenigma4u Says:
In my opinion, the only thing he was guilty.Of was using his position to get sexual favors. To be blatantly honest most men of that generation that's the reason why they saw after positions of power. If so they could use that position to get sexual favors from women. At most he might have been guilty of sexual harassment.But I second guess that. Because the true spirit of the law for sexual harassment was for women do not have to sleep with their boss to keep their job or get a raise. All the other nonsense they added on perverted the actual spirit of the law. They Perverted the law into a way to prosecute successful men.

Harvey Weinstein is a rapist.😢

I'm currently embroiled in two cases that I've already shown the state enough evidence of my innocence (not necessary but done to speed the process and reduce the waste on us all), to which the court has instead employed smear tactics and delay along with missing evidence. Justice always must be handled with extreme care and the conscience of a saint. They let the criminals go free when there is enough money for a good attorney and it becomes a two tiered justice system of the haves and the have nots.
@cl5193 Says:
Didn't they overturn Bill Cosby's conviction too? Look, if you've got enough money... I'm not convinced Epstein is dead either.

Sorry, but I don’t trust any of those women. They choose to be “stars”. As long as they were adults, I don’t see the issue.

It's ok because it's new york and he actually committed a crime. If they were made up charges that have no evidence or laws were changed to make something seem against the law even though it's not, then it would be all systems go

WELL you cant just prosacute. Basted on fake. Stuff but I DO NOT LIKE WINESTEENE
@skiltz124 Says:
The introduction of prior, similar behavior, including uncharged crimes to prove a perpetrator's identity IS RELEVANT to prove a fact other than their disposition to commit an act, especially if the acts are similar enough to support the inference that the same person committed both acts. This sounds like what the prosecutors of Weinstein were trying to do AND their were plenty of similar acts of sexual abuse by Weinstein.
